Baradin Hold is the new loot piñata raid for Cataclysm. This raid can be found in Tol Barad and is only open if your faction controls the zone. Control of the zone is decided through the PvP event every 3 hours.

Each time a new raid tier is added, a new boss is added to Baradin Hold, keeping the raid relevant throughout the expansion. The bosses found here are not difficult, and can easily be cleared without a full raid, and even that one Rogue (You know the one.) can stay alive the entire fight.

This raid does not have a Heroic difficulty, and unlike all other raid content, you can run this on both 10- and 25-player variants each week.

Where Is Baradin Hold

To get to Baradin Hold, you first need to reach Tol Barad. There is a portal to the Tol Barad Peninsula in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, next to the rest of the Cataclysm zone portals. Once here, head over the southern bridge to reach Tol Barad. On the western side of the Tol Barad Keep you will find a staircase leading down to the raid.

Argaloth

The first boss of Baradin Hold, available in Phase 1, is Argaloth. This boss is very simple. Have two tanks, each on opposite sides. Split the raid evenly to stack on both tanks. Each time a tank is targeted and hit by Meteor Slash, have the opposite tank taunt off. Periodically the room will flood with fire, when this happens simply avoid the fire and return to your original positions when it fades away.

Occu’thar

The second boss, added in Phase 3, is Occu’thar. The current tank should use a defensive when the boss casts Searing Shadows as it will deal significant damage. Tanks will then need to swap before the next Searing Shadows goes off. Everyone else must be sure to avoid standing in Focused Fire when it is cast. The group should stack away from the boss to AoE down Eyes when they spawn (these adds should not be spawned near the boss).

Alizabal, Mistress of Hate

The third and final boss of the raid, who arrives in Phase 4, is Alizabal, Mistress of Hate. Tanks must taunt swap immediately whenever she uses Skewer to stun the current tank. Everyone else should stack in a very tight group right behind the boss to split the damage from Seething Hate and AoE heal through it. All players should run away and stop attacking while she uses Blade Dance, and then return immediately to their positions when it’s over.
