Mark of the World Tree is a currency serving as the main component of the Molten Front Event, being required throughout the entirety of the event’s stages. Mark of the World Tree are also used as currency for specific items tied into the Molten Front Event, allowing you to gain goodies and an increased reputation with some factions.

Farming Marks of the World Tree

Mark of the World Tree can only be acquired by participating in the Molten Front Event, the main way of gathering them is by completing Main Quests and Daily Quests which are available during the event. There is no other way of acquiring the currency, with the currency itself being Soulbound, meaning it can’t be mailed or traded between characters.

You will only be able to gain Mark of the World Tree from the Main Quests once, with the Daily Quests serving as the main way of farming the Mark of the World Tree currency. Throughout the progression of the event, you will be able to unlock further new areas and NPCs that allow you to gather more and more per day.

List of farmable Marks of the World Tree per stage of the event:

  • Invasion – 16 x Mark of the World Tree (Once)
  • Sanctuary of Malorne – 4 x Mark of the World Tree (Daily)
  • Molten Front – 14 x Mark of the World Tree (Daily)
    • Molten Front + Druids of the Talon Area – 25 x Mark of the World Tree (Daily)
    • Molten Front + The Shadow Wardens Area – 25 x Mark of the World Tree (Daily)
  • The Regrowth – 31 x Mark of the World Tree (Daily)

Main Quests

The following Main Quests from the event will reward you with Mark of the World Tree currency:

  • Caught Unawares – 6 x Mark of the World Tree Reward
  • The Sanctuary Must Not Fall – 10x Mark of the World Tree Reward
  • Through the Gates of Hell – 15 x Mark of the World Tree Reward
  • Need… Water… Badly… – 5 x Mark of the World Tree Reward
  • Little Lasher – 5 x Mark of the World Tree Reward
  • Into the Depths – 10x Mark of the World Tree Reward

Daily Quests

One thing to keep in mind is that each NPC from the Molten Front Event only offers one or two Daily Quests per day and rotate on a daily basis, meaning that not every quest will be available at one time. However, some quests like Burn Victims or Into the Fire and The Forlorn Spire will always be available, being part of the daily routine.

How to Use Marks of the World Tree

Event Progression

Just as stated previously, the Mark of the World Tree is centric to the Molten Front Event, being required at almost every step of the event’s progression. You will need to gather large amounts of Marks of the World Tree to complete the event, with some parts of the event requiring you to gather 125 x Mark of the World Tree to 150 x Mark of the World Tree for only one single quest of the event.

Vendor

Throughout the Molten Front Event, there is only one single NPC that sells items that can be bought with the Mark of the World Tree currency, namely, Zen’Vorka! You will be able to interact with Zen’Vorka once you reach Malfurion’s Breach in the Molten Front area. You will be able to find Zen’Vorka inside the chamber where Malfurion Stormrage resides.

Zen’ Vorka sells a combination of items that can be acquired with Gold and Mark of the World Tree. He mainly sells Reputation Commendations that can be used with the main factions of the Alliance and the Horde but he also sells Zen’Vorka’s Cache which contains a large variety of Green Items and a slight chance of 5% to drop the Scorched Stone, which grants you a nifty companion.
