Besides your gear and talents, there are 3 additional ways you can increase your character’s power: gems, enchants, and consumables, which make your character significantly more powerful when combined correctly. Many guilds and raid groups may not invite you at all if you don’t have the correct gems, enchants, and consumables — but worry not, this guide will help you avoid that problem!

- Brilliant Inferno Ruby otherwise
- Yellow Socket:
- Brilliant Inferno Ruby if the socket bonus is less than +20 Intellect or +30 of another stat

- Artful Ember Topaz otherwise
- Blue Socket:
- Brilliant Inferno Ruby if the socket bonus is less than +20 Intellect or +30 of another stat

- Felfire Inscription if you have Inscription

- Enchant Cloak – Greater Intellect otherwise

- Draconic Embossment – Intellect if you have Leatherworking
- Enchant Bracer – Precision if you’re desperate for Hit Rating
- Enchant Bracer – Mighty Intellect otherwise
- Plus Socket Bracer if you have Blacksmithing

- Synapse Springs if you have Engineering
- Enchant Gloves – Haste if you need Haste

These can be picked by Herbalists in Outland (check out our farming guide). They do not share a cooldown with any other important consumables and provide a solid damage buff.
