Following the opening of the first tier of raids for Cataclysm Classic today, Blizzard has pushed through another round of hotfixes.
The big news here is a change to the way that Nitro Boosts work – or more specifically, to the way they malfunction. Now even if they explode and deal damage to you, they will still grant their bonus to your movement speed. This change will make the boosts much more reliable for raiding and will make them a better option for classes that are lacking in mobility.
One other big change that went through today is to the shoulder enchantments that can be purchased from the Therazane reputation vendor. Like the Sons of Hodir in WotLK, this reputation was originally required for every raiding character so that you could purchase the shoulder enchantments, and the rep is notoriously tedious to grind repeatedly. Blizzard has jumped ahead and made the enchantments Bind-to-Account, so you only need to grind the rep once and then you will be able to mail the enchantments to your alts.
Fixes were also included for Death Knight, Priest, Rogue, and Warlock abilities. You can see all of the changes in the complete list below.
