Even with the Cataclysm Beta being available, we don’t have access to all features currently. Important endgame features such as Reforging and Tol Barad are notably missing, as well some more fun features, like Transmogrification and the Dungeon Journal are notably absent.
Unfortunately, Goblins and Worgens are also entirely unavailable, leaving a somewhat strange looking character creation screen. This also means we cannot access their new, unique starting zones. We can on the other hand access the new starting zones for Trolls & Gnomes! It is also currently not possible to level past level 80.
Unfortunately it also does not look like the ability to import characters, or create premade max level characters is available. This means if you wanted to try anything close to endgame, you would have to level all the way there starting at 1.
We have also been provided with a list of Known Issues, though I am sure there are plenty more that aren’t listed.
- Testers may receive a Lua error relating to Blizzard_SettingsDefinitions_Frame_Classic.toc when logging into the game.
- The World map has some selection and highlight issues.
- There may be a LUA error when opening the Collections UI or selecting a new pet or mount.
- Minimaps are not working inside a majority of the indoor environments.
- The Mastery Passive and Armor Specialization can’t be learned from your trainer.
- Leveling up shows “Congratulations, you have reached [Level 0]” in the chat.
- Some questgivers in Southern Barrens aren’t spawning in properly.
- Some quest NPCs in Redridge Mountains are not spawning in properly.
