Starting with the weekly reset on March 18th, the Dragon Soul raid will see a progressive debuff called Presence of the Dragon Soul, which will reduce the health and damage of all enemies inside the raid by 5%. The debuff will increase by an additional 5% every two weeks, capping at 30% by the end of May.

You’ll be able to disable this debuff by speaking with Lord Devrestrasz inside the raid if you would like to do so.

The debuff comes just one month after the release of the final phase of Cataclysm Classic, and gives us some idea of the earliest we might expect the pre-patch and launch of Mists of Pandaria Classic. It’s almost certain that we won’t see the expansion launch before the debuff caps. It’s most likely that the pre-patch will begin shortly after the debuff reaches its peak, to allow players to fully experience the raid before the massive upheaval that will be wrought by the incoming expansion.

Starting next Tuesday, March 18, with the weekly content reset, all enemies in Dragon Soul will be affected by the “Presence of the Dragon Soul” aura, reducing their health and damage by 5%.

Every two weeks thereafter, this health and damage reduction will increase by an additional 5%, culminating in a total 30% reduction by the end of May.

If players wish for an extra challenge and want to fight the enemies of the Dragon Soul raid without the aid of this aura, they may speak to Lord Devrestrasz inside the raid at the entrance and request that he remove it.
