With Phase 4 arriving next week, Blizzard is putting the new Elemental Rune Dungeon difficulty through a final round of testing.
The three new Caverns of Time Dungeons will be available on the Protocol Twilight difficulty. These dungeons won’t have any of the new mechanics, but they will have similar rewards.
There are also a few changes to the planned mechanics and loot for Protocol Twilight. You can read the full development notes below for details.
Today, we’ve updated the PTR to support final testing on Elemental Rune Dungeons.
Dungeons
The three new Dragon Soul Dungeons have been added to the Protocol Twilight rotation. These dungeons will not have the Protocol Twilight mechanics, but they will follow a similar reward pattern as the other Protocol Twilight dungeons:
- 2 Obsidian Fragments drop per boss and the final boss will drop an extra 3 Obsidian Fragments if players have defeated all of the other bosses in the dungeon.
- Each Final Boss will have two new drops:
- First Drop: 1 random Raid Finder Weapon or 1 random Raid Finder Jewelry
- Unlike the rest of the Protocol Twilight dungeons, these bosses can drop any of the weapons or jewelry that come from Protocol Twilight end bosses.
- Second Drop: 1 Raid Finder Tier Token
- Each final boss can drop one of the 15 random Raid Finder Tier Tokens.
- First Drop: 1 random Raid Finder Weapon or 1 random Raid Finder Jewelry
