PvE Feral Druid DPS Rotations & Cooldowns

Feral Druids have one of the most complicated rotations in the game, featuring many effects they must consider. Their main gameplay revolves around upkeeping DoTs on their targets and beneficial effects on themselves while carefully managing procs, burst sequences, and their Energy.

We’ll showcase an optimal rotation for single target, AoE, and any useful Defensive & Utility spells.

Single-Target Rotation

Heart of the Wild Rotation

  1. Pre-cast Savage Roar with the Glyph of Savagery.
  2. Cast Faerie Fire & Upkeep it.
  3. Cast Thrash & Upkeep it.
  4. Cast Rake & Upkeep it.
  5. Cast Mangle (Main Combo Points Generator).
  6. Cast Rip (Main Combo Points Spender).
  7. Refresh Savage Roar.
    • Refresh Savage Roar with 0 Combo Points if Rip is about to expire.
    • Refresh Savage Roar with 5 combo points if Rip has over 10 seconds of uptime.
  8. Cast Ferocious Bite if Rip has more than 10 seconds of uptime & Savage Roar is active.
    • Primarily cast Ferocious Bite after a 5 Combo Points Rip was applied as a Main Combo Points Spender once the target has less than 25% HP.
    • Casting Ferocious Bite while the target has 25% HP or less automatically refreshes Rip.
  9. Prioritize casting Tiger’s Fury before Berserk for Burst.
    • Cast Tiger’s Fury on cooldown after Berserk.
  10. Prioritize casting Berserk together with other offensive cooldowns for maximum output.
  11. Cast Shred during Berserk with Glyph of Shred as a primary Combo Points Generator.
  12. After using Berserk & Tiger’s Fury, and your DoTs have full uptime, prioritize a Heart of the Wild burst sequence
    • Prioritize the Heart of the Wild Burst sequence if the above context is present or if it’s safer to stay away from the boss simply
    • While Heart of the Wild is active, spam Wrath for as much as possible

Incarnation & Nature’s Vigil Rotation

  1. Pre-cast Savage Roar with the Glyph of Savagery.
  2. Cast Faerie Fire & Upkeep it.
  3. Cast Incarnation & Berserk for an opening Burst sequence
  4. Prioritize casting Tiger’s Fury before Berserk for Burst.
    • Cast Tiger’s Fury on cooldown after Berserk.
  5. Prioritize casting Ravage as a Main Combo Points Generator while Incarnation & Berserk are active
  6. Cast Thrash & Upkeep it.
  7. Cast Rake & Upkeep it.
  8. Cast Rip (Main Combo Points Spender).
  9. Switch to Mangle as the Main Combo Points Generator once Incarnation & Berserk expire
  10. Refresh Savage Roar.
    • Refresh Savage Roar with 0 Combo Points if Rip is about to expire.
    • Refresh Savage Roar with 5 combo points if Rip has over 10 seconds of uptime.
  11. Cast Ferocious Bite if Rip has more than 10 seconds of uptime & Savage Roar is active.
    • Primarily cast Ferocious Bite after a 5 Combo Points Rip was applied as a Main Combo Points Spender once the target has less than 25% HP.

Dream of Cenarius Rotation

  1. Pre-cast Savage Roar with the Glyph of Savagery.
  2. Pre-cast Healing Touch to trigger Dream of Cenarius before pull
  3. Cast Faerie Fire & Upkeep it.
  4. Prioritize casting Tiger’s Fury before Berserk for Burst.
    • Cast Tiger’s Fury on cooldown after Berserk.
  5. Prioritize casting Berserk together with other offensive cooldowns for maximum output.
    • Cast Shred during Berserk with Glyph of Shred as a primary Combo Points Generator.
  6. Prioritize casting Healing Touch whenever Predatory Swiftness triggers to trigger Dream of Cenarius
    • Prioritize using Dream of Cenarius stacks on Thrash, Rip & Ferocious Bite whenever possible
  7. Cast Mangle (Main Combo Points Generator).
  8. Cast Thrash & Upkeep it.
  9. Cast Rake & Upkeep it.
  10. Cast Rip (Main Combo Points Spender).
  11. Refresh Savage Roar
    • Refresh Savage Roar with 0 Combo Points if Rip is about to expire.
    • Refresh Savage Roar with 5 combo points if Rip has over 10 seconds of uptime.
  12. Cast Ferocious Bite if Rip has more than 10 seconds of uptime & Savage Roar is active.
    • Primarily cast Ferocious Bite after a 5 Combo Points Rip was applied as a Main Combo Points Spender once the target has less than 25% HP.

AoE Rotation

  1. Pre-cast Savage Roar with the Glyph of Savagery.
  2. Start with Bear Form and cast Thrash (Bear Version)
    • Occasionally change form to Bear Form to reapply Thrash
  3. Swap back to Cat Form and cast Thrash (Cat Version)
    • Prioritize staying in Cat Form and refresh Thrash
  4. Multi-Dot targets with Rake (Combo Points Generator)
  5. Cast Rip as a main Combo Points Spender
  6. Cast Swipe as a primary Combo Points Generator once Rake is up on the target
  7. Refresh Savage Roar when needed

Defensive & Utility Spells

  • Crowd Control:
    • Typhoon: Powerful Knockback ability that throws away all enemies in a frontal area.
    • Ursol’s Vortex: Displacement tool that gathers all enemies in an area and prevents them from leaving by pulling them back to the spell’s center.
    • Cyclone: Ability that prevents all actions but renders the target immune to any effect during its duration.
    • Entangling Roots: Places a Root effect on the target, preventing movement.
  • Major Defensives:
    • Might of Ursoc: Instantly transforms the Druid into Bear Form, increasing current and maximum HP by 30%.
    • Barkskin: Reduces all forms of damage by 20%. It can be used in any form, even while in Crowd Control.
  • Revive:
    • Rebirth: Fast-cast resurrection spell that can be used in and out of combat.
    • Revive: Long cast resurrection spell that can only be used outside combat.
  • Buff:
    • Mark of the Wild: Increases Strength, Agility, and Intellect by 5% for all raid members.
    • Symbiosis: Ability that grants one Druid ability to the target in exchange for a specific Class/Specialization ability, depending on the target. Grants extreme diversity based on the target.
  • Heal/Utility:
    • Ysera’s Gift: Passive Healing effect that aids nearby allies if you are full HP.
    • Nature’s Vigil: Converts a percentage of your damage into Direct Healing to nearby allies.
    • Rejuvenation: Healing spell that places a HoT on the target.
    • Healing Touch: Direct Healing Spell that heals a large amount of HP.
    • Tranquility: A channeled Healing Spell that aids all allies and restores massive amounts of HP.
    • Remove Corruption: Removes any Poison & Curse effects from the target.
    • Innervate: Provides massive Mana Regeneration to allies for a limited duration.
    • Faerie Fire: Reduces a target’s armor by a specific percentage and prevents it from going invisible.
