Welcome to the jungle forest! While in Terokkar forest, you can still try to get an instance going for the Slave Pens and/or The Underbog. Make sure you grab the requisite quests (see the Extra XP section in Part 2: Zangarmarsh).
Part 1
- Leave Shattrath via the eastern bridge, and stay on the road east to reach the Cenarion Thicket (44, 26):
- Speak with Earthbinder Tavgren in front of the thicket to turn in What’s Wrong at Cenarion Thicket?, accept Clues in the Thicket and Strange Energy. While in the thicket, kill Vicious Teremoths until you’ve collected 4 Vicious Teremoth Samples.
- Follow the path into the thicket and take your first left to find Warden Treelos (44.5, 25.7). Talk to him to accept It’s Watching You!
- Enter the nearby tower (43.4, 22.6) and fight your way to the top. You’ll need full hp/mana before you fight Naphthal’ar at the top of the tower. Careful his knockback doesn’t send you flying off the tower!
- Take the path down from the tower and enter the large building on your left to find the Strange Object (45.1, 21.8) — it’s a gold/blue sphere on the ground by the counter. Right-click it to examine it.
- Return to Warden Treelos and turn in It’s Watching You!, then kill/collect any more Vicious Teremoth Samples you need.
- Go back to the entrance of the thicket and speak with Earthbinder Tavgren in front of the thicket to turn in Clues in the Thicket.
- Cross the road and kill Teremoths south of the thicket until you’ve collected 4 Teremoth Samples.
- Return to Earthbinder Tavgren and turn in Strange Energy, accept By Any Means Necessary.
- Now we’re going to find Empoor, who wanders the road between Shattrath and Tuurem. Make sure you’re full hp/mana when you talk to him, as you’ll have to fight him and get him to sub-30% hp. Then speak with him to turn in By Any Means Necessary, accept Wind Trader Lathrai.
- After strong-arming Empoor, you can head to Stonebreaker Hold (51, 43.5).by following the road east into Tuurem. Turn right (south) at the fork to reach Stonebreaker Hold:
- See Mokasa (49.7, 43.3) to turn in News from Zangarmarsh.
- Get the new flight path.
- Look at the Wanted Poster (49.8, 45.3) to accept Wanted: Bonelashers Dead!
- In the main building, find Rokag (49, 44.6) to accept Stymying the Arakkoa and Surrender to the Horde.
- Speak with Advisor Faila (48.9, 44.6) to accept Arakkoa War Path and Speak with Scout Neftis.
- Across the room, talk to Kurgatok (48.8, 45.7)to accept An Unwelcome Presence and Magical Disturbances. From now on, kill Warp Stalkers until you finish Magical Disturbances.
- In the smaller building across the camp, talk to Malukaz to accept Vestments of the Wolf Spirit. From now on, kill Timber Worgs and Alphas to collect their Pelts until you finish Vestments of the Wolf Spirit.
- Talk with Rakoria (50.1, 44.9) to accept Olemba Seed Oil. From now on, keep an eye out for Olemba Seeds, which can be found in any forested area of Terokkar Forest. Note that you’ll need to find Olemba Cones, which contain the seeds.
- Fly to Shattrath:
- Find the Haggard War Veteran, he tends to show up on your minimap wherever you are in Shattrath. Talk to him to accept A’dal, then go to the center of Shattrath to speak with the big man himself and turn in A’dal.
- Find Khadgar nearby to accept City of Light, then take the very short, very fun and informative tour, making sure you stay near the NPC the whole time. When you’re finished, return to Khadgar to turn in City of Light.
- Now you need to make a choice as to whether or not you want to align with the Aldors or the Scryers. We’ve got a full guide to help you decide, but in brief: aside from the risk of ruining a friendship, and the fact that the Scryer elevator is safer, your main consideration should probably be the rewards. It’s also worth noting that the drops you turn in to each faction for rep tend to be easier to collect for the Scryers, so if your goal is just to hit exalted ASAP, Scryers might be somewhat easier to do so with. Blood Elves will also have to do extra work to get enough rep to accept some Aldor quests. Once you’ve decided, speak with Archmage Khadgar and accept either Allegiance to the Aldor or Allegiance to the Scryers.
- [ALDOR] accept Ishanah from Archmage Khadgar. Then go to the western part of the city, to Aldor’s Rise. You’ll need to leave the central area and find the ramp up to the second floor, then make your way to the western elevator. Talk to Adyen the Lightwarden to accept Marks of Kil’jaeden (the guide may not specify turning these in, but you should do so once you have some and are in Shattrath), then head up into the main building and speak with Ishanah to turn in Ishanah and accept Restoring the Light. Hit up the inn (28, 49) down the stairs and to the right from Ishanah, make Shattrath your new home.
- [SCRYER] accept Voren’thal the Seer from Archmage Khadgar. Then go to the southern part of the city, to Scryer’s Tier. You’ll need to leave the central area and find the ramp up to the second floor, then make your way to the southern elevator. Talk to Magistrix Fyalenn ( 45.6 82.2) to accept Firewing Signets, then go up to the main building and inside talk to Voren’thal the Seer to turn in Voren’thal the Seer, accept Synthesis of Power (requires level 64, grab it later if you can’t get it now. This quest isn’t something you’ll specifically do, but eventually you’ll find an Arcane Tome and then you can turn this in). Next, go to the inn at (55, 81) and make Shattrath your new home.
- Head to the northern part of Shattrath and enter the Lower City. Find the inn (64, 16) and speak with Seth to accept Rather Be Fishin‘.
- [ALDOR] Near Seth, talk to Sha’nir and accept A Cure for Zahlia.
- Now head west and go up the wooden bridge (56.5, 16.1) and find Vekax at the top treehouse to accept The Outcast’s Plight.
- Southwest of the bottom of the bridge, go see Rilak the Redeemed to turn in Surrender to the Horde and accept The Eyes of Skettis.
- Leave Shattrath from the northeastgate in the Lower City, and continue northeast to reach Slimyr Lake (38, 13). You should have one charge of your Potion of Water Breathing left, use it and kill Shimmerscale Eels until you’ve collected 8 Pristine Shimmerscale Eels; if only you could be gentle while attacking and guarantee your eels were pristine…
- Head back to Shattrath and fly to Stonebreaker Hold. Then farm your way north and slightly east to reach Veil Sheinor (59, 29), which lies northeast of Tuurem. Be keeping an eye out for Olemba Seeds as you go. Once at the veil:
- Clear your way to the southeastern tree (59.7, 25.3 )and enter it to go upstairs and find the bridge. Across the bridge grab the Eye of Veil Shienor.
- Go back to the ground the way you came and kill Ayit (59.4, 23.5), who can be found in the big hut north of where you just came down
- Leave this veil and go west, then head north once you’ve passed the T in Tuurem on the map to reach to another veil, Veil Reskk (50, 20), collecting Olemba Seeds and killing wolves as you go:
- Fight your way to the wooden bridge (49.9, 16.6) in the center of the camp, then head up it to the treehouse. Kill Ashkaz (49.1, 16.9), then cross the bridge to the next treehouse to grab the Eye of Veil Reskk.
- Stay here killing Shienor Talonites and Sorcerers until you’ve completed Arakkoa War Path.
- [ALDOR] While in Veil Reskk, you’ll need to light three altars:
- Northern Altar – (50.7, 16.6)
- Eastern Altar – (49.3, 20.3)
- Western Altar – (48.1, 14.5)
- [ALDOR] While in Veil Reskk, you’ll need to light three altars:
- Return to Shattrath (you can hearthstone or cut west across Slimyr Lake):
- Head to the north west of the Lower City and find Rilak the Redeemed to turn in The Eyes of Skettis and accept Seek our Kirrik.
- Head across the street to the inn to see Seth and turn in Rather Be Fishin’.
- Now head southeast, staying in the Lower City, find Wind Trader Lathrai (72.1, 30.8) outside an inn by some boxes. turn in Wind Trader Lathrai and accept A Personal Favor.
- [ALDOR] Head to Aldor’s Rise in the West of the city and speak with Ishanah to turn in Restoring the Light.
- Leave Shattrath heading southeast and follow the road south past Grangol’var Village (you can dip off the road to the right here to find wolves, warp stalkers, and olemba seeds), then turn left off the road once you reach the bone wastes — follow the border of the two sub-zones to find Scout Neftis just south of the village:
- Make sure you aren’t mounted, then turn in Speak with Scout Neftis, accept Who Are They? You’ve got a sweet disguise on now, so don’t attack anything or you’ll lose it. If you do need another, just return to Scout Neftis. Sometimes this will bug out and you’ll have to abandon and reaccept the quest.
- Go north and enter Grangol’var Village, and avoid the Shadowy Hunters, they’ll reveal you. You have to be pretty far away from these guys not to be detected. Turning on NPC nameplates helps here, as the Shadow Hunters will appear red instead of green. Head to the pond in the middle of the village and speak with the Shadowy Initiate.
- Enter the main building big building by the lake and speak with Shadowy Advisor.
- Outside speak with any Shadowy Laborer, who tend to spawn near the towers.
- Return to Scout Neftis to turn in Who Are They? and accept Kill the Shadow Council! It’s nice that Neftis did his job and scouted before telling you to kill everyone, but it did cost us some time.
- Go back into the village, and kill 10 Shadow Executioners, 10 Shadowy Summoners, and slay Shadowmaster Grieve in the main building. Entering from the southern path (north of Neftis) is much easier since you don’t have to fight a bunch of grouped mobs.
- Leave the village and take the road south to the Refugee Caravan (37, 50):
- Talk to Kirrik the Awakened to turn in Seek out Kirrik and accept Veil Skith: Darkstone of Terokk.
- Speak with Mekeda to accept Before Darkness Falls.
- See Lakotae to accept The Infested Protectors.
- Last but not least, talk to Ethan and accept Missing Friends.
- Head due northwest from the caravan to reach Veil Skith. On your way, if you see Rotting Forest-Ragers and Infested Root-Walkers, kill them and kill the Wood Mites that spawn:
- While here, collect Lathrai’s Stolen Goods throughout the veil. Also collect 30 Arakkoa Feathers for The Outcast’s Plight, and loot Veil Skith Prison Keys. Use the keys to open Prison Cages, but make sure there’s kids inside first! Do this as you complete the below steps until you’ve rescued 12 Children for Missing Friends.
- Find the Darkstone of Terokk (30.8, 42) in the middle of the veil and use your Rod of Purification while near it.
- Go up the wooden bridge west of the Darkstone, then fight your way through the treehouses to reach and kill Urdak. Stay in the veil until you’ve completed all the quests in step 14.1.
- Return to the Refugee Caravan:
- First things first! Talk to Ethan and turn in Missing Friends. Feel free to play with your new Steam Tonk before you move on to step 15.2.
- Speak with Kirrik the Awakened to turn in Veil Skith: Darkstone of Terokk and accept Veil Rhaze: Unliving Evil.
- See High Priest Orglum to accept The Tomb of Lights and The Vengeful Harbinger.
- Leave the caravan and go southeast to reach The Shadow Stair (40, 56). Kill all the Fel Orcs here, one of them should drop Cabal Orders — right-click the orders to accept Cabal Orders. Keep killing orcs here until you’ve completed the objectives for Before Darkness Falls. While here, you can also start trying to form a group for The Vengeful Harbinger.
- Head east to the Tomb of Lights (47, 55), killing Bonelashers for our friend Mawg as you go.
- While you’re waiting for a group, kill Ethereal Nethermancers and Plunderers for The Tomb of Lights, and kill any other Bonelashers you can find as well.
- Once you have a group, or if you’re willing to try to solo it, enter the tomb and go straight to enter the eastern room. Kill everything here, then stand in the circle in the middle of the room and right-click the Draenei Tomb Relic in your inventory. You’ll fight 4 waves of enemies, with the help of an arcane guardian. Once you’ve survived all the waves of attackers, watch the little scene and then speak with the Draenei Ascendent ghost that appears to turn in The Vengeful Harbinger.
- Stay here until you’ve completed The Tomb of Lights.
- Return to the Refugee Caravan again:
- : See High Priest Orglum to turn in The Tomb of Lights.
- Find Soolaveen to accept Recover the Bones. You’ll want to start collecting piles of Restless Bones now when you’re in the Bone Wastes.
- Talk to Mekeda to turn in Before Darkness Falls and Cabal Orders, accept The Shadow Tomb.
- Go east from the caravan and kill Bonelashers to complete Wanted: Bonelashers Dead.
- Return to Shattrath (save your hearthstone if you want to go train skills at a major city):
- Go to the treehouse at (46, 18) in the Lower City (almost due north of the center of the city) to speak with Vekax and turn in The Outcast’s Plight.
- Make your way southeast through the Lower City to see Wind Trader Lathrai (72, 31), turn in A Personal Favor, accept Investigate Tuurem.
- Once finished in Shattrath, take a flight to Stonebreaker Hold:
- In the main building, talk to Advisor Faila to turn in Arakkoa War Path and Kill the Shadow Council!
- Speak with Rokag to turn in Stymying the Arakkoa.
- Find Mawg Grimshot to turn in Wanted: Bonelashers Dead! and accept Torgos!
Part 2
- Leave town and cross the river heading east, then go southeast to reach the Bonechewer Ruins (63, 48). While on your way, make sure you’re killing Warp Stalkers and Timber Worgs, and also collecting Olemba Seeds. Once you reach the orc fort, kill all the Worgs in the area, and then kill 12 Warped Peons for An Unwelcome Presence — once you’re finished with that, you can kill the now-respawned worgs if you still need pelts for Vestments of the Wolf Spirit. It’s ok to leave without finishing that quest yet.
- Head northwest to find Stonebreaker Camp (63, 42) nearby. You may have passed it on your way to the ruins, in which case it’s the tipi on your map. Talk to Shadowstalker Kaide to turn in An Unwelcome Presence (fun fact, it’s the 10,000th quest in the game’s database), accept The Firewing Liaison and What Happens in Terokkar Stays in Terokkar.
- Return to the Bonechewer Ruins:
- Finish Vestments of the Wolf Spirit while you’re here; clear the worgs once before you enter, and then again when you leave if necessary.
- Fight your way to the main building (67, 54.5) and kill Lisaile Fireweaver inside.
- Nearby on the ground are Fel Orc Plans, right-click them to accept An Unseen Hand.
- If you haven’t killed what you need for What Happens in Terokkar Stays in Terokkar, do so before you leave.
- Return to Stonebreaker Camp and speak with Shadowstalker Kaide to turn in The Firewing Liaison and What Happens in Terokkar Stays in Terokkar.
- Go west to return to Stonebreaker Hold. If you need to finish any objectives for Olemba Seed Oil, Magical Disturbances, or Vestments of the Wolf Spirit, you can do so as you traverse the forest; make sure you’ve finished all three quests before you enter the town. Once there:
- Speak with Rakoria to turn in Olemba Seed Oil and accept And Now, the Moment of Truth.
- See Kurgatok in the main building to turn in Magical Disturbances.
- Speak to Rokag to turn in An Unseen Hand.
- Talk to Malukaz to turn in Vestments of the Wolf Spirit, accept Patriarch Ironjaw.
- Near the wanted poster, talk to Grek and ask him to try the new oil. After a bit, you’ll get a quest complete message and you can go see Rakoria to turn in And Now, the Moment of Truth.
- Leave town and take the road north to reach Tuurem (51, 31). Kill mobs and make your way to the northeastern island, and find the roofless building with a Firewing Courier (54, 30); kill them and take their Sealed Box. Now fight your way out of town west and continue on the road.
- Continuing west on the road should bring you to Earthbringer Tavgren in front of the Cenarion Thicket, speak with him to turn in Investigate Tuurem, accept What Are These Things?
- Go back the way you came, and head south from Tuurem to Stonebreaker Hold. Find Tooki to turn in What Are These Things? and accept Report to Stonebreaker Camp.
- Go due east from Stonebreaker Hold to reach Stonebreaker Camp. Talk to Sergeant Chawni to turn in Report to Stonebreaker Camp, accept Attack on Firewing Point.
- [ALDOR] Ask in chat to see if you can find a partner for A Cure for Zahlia. Once you get one, you’ll want to hunt for Stonegazer, who roams near (60, 29) east of Tuurem. You’ll be near his spawn for the next few steps.
- Head northeast to find Firewing Point (70, 39). Kill all the mobs you need for Attack on Firewing Point.
- Go west from Firewing Point to find Ironjaw (65, 35); you can farm stuff while you hunt for the big bad wolf you want, the area he spawns/roams is fairly large. Grab Ironjaw’s Pelt once you slay him.
- Return to Stonebreaker Camp and speak with Sergeant Chawni to turn in Attack on Firewing Point, accept The Final Code.
- Now head back to Firewing Point, and fight your way to the main building (entrance at (73.3, 36.3)) in the northeast of the camp (the tallest one up the hill). Go to the top of the tower by using the Orb of Translocation, take down Sharth Voldoun, grab The Final Code. Use the Orb again and once you’re ready for an escort quest, talk to nearby Isla Starmane to accept Escape from Firewing Point — as with most of our escort quests, let her go ahead of you and grab aggro before you attack enemies.
- Once Isla is free, fight your way to the Mana Bomb (71.3, 37.4) and clear the enemies around it. Right click the bomb and watch the fireworks.
- [ALDOR]: If you still haven’t found a partner for A Cure for Zahlia, you can go try to solo it now. Otherwise, you’ll have to do this quest later.
- Return to Stonebreaker Hold:
- Talk to Advisor Faila to turn in Escape from Firewing Point!
- Speak with Tooki to turn in The Final Code, accept Letting Earthbinder Tavgren Know.
- See Malukaz to turn in Patriarch Ironjaw, accept Welcoming the Wolf Spirit. Then right-click the Ceremonial Incense in your inventory and welcome the wolf spirit! Then speak once more with Malukaz to turn in Welcoming the Wolf Spirit.
- Head south out of Stonebreaker Hold, and you’ll quickly find Rotting Forest-Ragers and Infested Root-Walkers, they roam the ruined forest on the edge of the Bone Wastes. Kill them and kill the Wood Mites that spawn — those are our true objective. Stay here until you’ve completed The Infested Protectors.
- To the west, just northeast of the northern-most Spirit Tower (the grey towers in the Bone Wastes on your map) you’ll find Trachela (43, 52), on Carrion Hill. You’ll want to clear nearby mobs and get full hp/mana, then kill her and take her dead body with you (loot Trachela’s Carcass). Start asking in chat to see if you can get a partner or group for Torgos! (see step 20)
- Go further west to find the Refugee Caravan once more. Talk to Lakotae to turn in The Infested Protectors.
- Now go west to the Shadow Tomb, and skirt it’s southern side as you continue west to Veil Rhaze (28, 56). Kill birds and arakkoa to complete Veil Rhaze: Unliving Evil.
- Hopefully at this point, you’ll have a group for Torgos! If you don’t, you can keep hunting for Restless Bones and/or grind in the nearby Shadow Tomb (30, 50) to the northeast. Once you get some friends, return to Veil Rhaze and use Trachela’s Carcass near the scarecrow Torgos’s Bane (26.9, 55.6). Don’t forget to snag the Tail Feather of Torgos once he’s dead. As always, feel free to skip this one if you can’t get help.
- Go to the Shadow Tomb northeast of the veil:
- Inside, take a left to enter the western room. Clear the mobs, then open the Cabal Chest to find the Gavel of K’alen.
- Cross the tomb to the eastern room, kill the baddies and grab the Drape of Arunen from the Cabal Chest.
- Enter the last room to the north, clear it, and loot the Scroll of Atalor from the Cabal Chest.
- When you’re ready for an escort quest, talk to Akuno at the entrance to the room you’re in to accept Escaping the Tomb. Though not as bad as Corki (who you’ll meet in Nagrand), this guy seems pretty good at getting lost. Same deal as always: Let Akuno go first and take the first attack from the mobs. Eventually Akuno will run back to the caravan, which is great because we’re going there too! Keep hunting for Restless Bones too if you haven’t completed Recover the Bones.
- At the Refugee Caravan:
- Talk to Kirrik the Awakened to turn in Veil Rhaze: Unliving Evil, accept Veil Lithic: Preemptive Strike.
- See Mekeda to turn in The Shadow Tomb and Escaping the Tomb.
- Leave the caravan and go southwest to reach Veil Lithic (26, 71). This veil lies west of the small mountain west of Auchindoun. Keep an eye out for the wandering ogre and avoid him if you can, while you right click all the eggs you find. Some eggs will spawn a Redeemed Hatchling, while others will spawn Malevolent Hatchlings. You need to find 3 Redeemed Hatchlings and slay 3 Malevolent Hatchlings — what spawns from the eggs seems to be random, so if you get unlucky you might need to do something else and come back while waiting for the eggs to respawn.
- Once you’ve completed the objectives for Veil Lithic: Preemptive Strike, try to forget about your 3rd bird-related crime of the day and head southeast to the Sha’tari Base Camp (31, 76). Once there:
- Speak with Oakun (31.1, 76.5) to accept The Dread Relic.
- Talk to Commander Ra’vaj (31, 76.1) and accept An Improper Burial.
- Find Scout Navrin (31.4, 75.7) and accept Taken in the Night.
- Last, find Chief Archaeologist Letoll to accept Digging Through Bones.
- Follow the dwarven expedition and protect them, then return to the base camp and talk to (yes his name really is) Dwarfowitz (31, 76.2) to turn in Digging Through Bones and accept Fumping.
- Make sure you’ve gotten all the Restless Bones for Recover the Bones, then head north and slightly east to Auchindoun:
- Enter through the west gate at (33, 66), and walk to the edge of the upper terrace. Drop down to the closest level, and eat before you drop again (repeat this to reach the ground floor). If you get lost here, just head to the western side of Auchindoun.Enter the area marked by two glowing pink fires. Speak with Ha’lei (35, 65.2) to accept I See Dead Draenei (here — just in case you didn’t get the joke).
- A few steps south you’ll find Ramdor the Mad; speak with him to turn in I See Dead Draenei and Recover the Bones (all that bone-hunting finally pays off!) and accept Ezekiel and Helping the Lost Find Their Way. From now on, you’ll want to kill Lost Spirits and Broken Skeletons you find in the Bone Wastes until you’ve slain 10 of each for this quest.
Part 3
- Hearthstone to Shattrath:
- [ALDOR] Head to the northern portion of the Lower City to talk with Sha’Nir (64.6, 15.2) and turn in A Cure for Zahlia.
- Find the NPC Ezekiel by going to the Terrace of Light and walking counter-clockwise (he patrols clockwise). Speak with him to turn in Ezekiel and accept What Book? I Don’t See Any Book (note that this quest requires level 65, so you may not be able to take it — come back and do it before you leave for Nagrand).
- You’re going to need to ask in chat for help with What Book? I Don’t See Any Book. If you can’t finish this quest now, that’s OK, but complete it before you go to Nagrand. Repair/sell/shop while you wait. Once you’ve formed a party, go talk to Dirty Larry (43.6 29.6); he is all the way in the furthest western section of the Lower City hanging out with a couple of friends. Once you speak with him you’ll be able to attack him — take out his friends first and then focus down Larry, but carefully as he’s elite and can be threatening if you can’t kite him. That being said, make sure you’re standing close to him when he’s approaching 1% HP, as you can miss out on completing this quest if he gets to 1% while you aren’t nearby.
- Once Larry’s defeated, talk to him to turn in What Book? I Don’t See Any Book and accept The Master’s Grand Design?
- Exit Shattrath heading east towards Cenarion Thicket. Talk to Earthbinder Tavgren (44.3, 26.3) to turn in Letting Earthbinder Tavgren Know.
- Head west to get back on the road that runs south from Shattrath, and go south to visit the Refugee Caravan (37, 51) that apparently isn’t ever going to move again, and:
- Talk to Kirrik the Awakened (37.6, 51.5) to turn in Veil Lithic: Preemptive Strike and accept Veil Shalas: Signal Fires.
- Now head to the edge of the camp and find a spot near the guards where you’re minimap says you’re in The Bone Wastes, then use your Fumper the dwarves gave you. Either a worm or a gnome will spawn. If it’s a gnome, just lead it to the guards. If it’s one of the Bone Sifters, you can still let the guards help you but you’ll need to do more damage to it than them in order to loot it’s carcass. Once you have 8 Mature Bone Sifter Carcass, you’re all done drumming.
- Leave the caravan and head south and slightly west past Auchindoun to the Sha’tari Base Camp (31, 76). Speak with Dwarfowitz to turn in Fumping and accept The Big Bone Worm, and try not to think too hard about the name of your new quest.
- Leave the Base Camp and go east to approximately (33, 75). You’ll find the corpses of Slain Sha’tar Vindicators and Slain Auchenai Warriors as you continue east — burn them with the Sha’tari Torch in your inventory until you’ve burned 8 of each and completed An Improper Burial.
- Return to the Sha’tari Base Camp (31, 76) and talk to Commander Ra’vaj (31, 76.1) and turn in An Improper Burial and accept A Hero Is Needed. From now on, you’ll want to kill any Auchenai Initiates or Auchenai Doomsayers you encounter (until you’ve slain 12 Initiates and 5 Doomsayers and completed this quest).
- Leave the camp heading east again, and this time head all the way to the Derelict Caravan (42, 75). Don’t loot the massive chest until you’ve cleared the area of all the hidden ghosts, since once you loot the Massive Treasure Chest, a bunch of zombies will spawn. You can always run from them if you don’t want to fight them, so long as you grabbed the Dread Relic from the chest.
- Continue heading east and look for Decrepit Clefthoofs.
- Look for a Decrepit Clefthoof. Kill it, and use the Fumper in your inventory on it.
- Keep using your Fumper on dead Clefthooves until Hai’shulud shows up for the lunch you’ve offered him.
- Hai’shulud is an Elite monster, so prepare for a fight! Although, there is a way to defeat it fairly easily:
- After Hai’shulud spawns, use the /sw command to start a timer and run out of combat. After 90 seconds, return to where you spawned him, aggro him and stay alive for 30 seconds. The giant worm will die after 30 seconds regardless of his current HP. Don’t forget to grab his Organs!
- Go east to (49.7, 76.2) and talk to Vindicator Haylen to accept For the Fallen. You can find this NPC where the bone wastes meet the forest, surrounded by fallen comrades.
- Head east to Netherweb Ridge — can you guess what kind of enemies we’ll find? Kill 20 Dreadfang Widows as you free 6 Sha’tar Warriors by attacking Netherweb Victims (for the quest Taken in the Night). If you have a pet, make sure your pet doesn’t attack the webbed folk, as it won’t count and they won’t spawn the freed warriors.
- Once you’ve completed the requirements for both quests, return to Vindicator Haylen to turn in For the Fallen and accept Terokkarantula. You’ll want to ask in chat for help with this quest, as if you’re a class that relies on movement impairing effects or fear for CC, you won’t be able to use them on the big spider we want to kill. If you can’t find help and don’t feel like you can solo the Terokkarantula, you can skip this quest and do it later. If you you get help or want to try soloing, head to (52.8, 79.4) — due east from Vindicator Haylen — to find the Terokkarantula. If you manage to kill her, return to Vindicator Haylen to turn in Terokkarantula and accept Return to Sha’tari Base Camp (note that this quest requires level 65).
- Head northeast to Skywing (53.9, 72.4), talk to him and accept his quest Skywing when you’re ready — it’s an escort quest, so get full mana/hp before you talk to him. You can duo this if you want, but it’s soloable if you’re careful:
- Let Skywing tank at the start of the quest, and make sure you don’t fight near edges when you’re up the treehouse.
- You’ll pass 4 signal fires for the quest Veil Shalas: Signal Fires, make sure you put them out as you pass them. You should see them in this order as you follow Skywing: Bloodstone Signal Fire (56.1, 72.5), Violet Signal Fire (56.6, 69.2).
- Skywing will jump down and you’ll need to follow him to find the final enemy for this quest, an elite named Luanga the Imprisoner. He’s immune to movement impairing effects and fear, interrupt Piercing Armor if you can.
- Once he’s dead, you can find the Emerald Fire nearby (55.5, 69.8). From that fire, look north to find a rock you can jump down to. Then go up the path to your right to go under the treehouse and find the bridge. Fight your way up and cross the bridge, then go down a floor to the Sapphire Signal Fire (55.1, 67.2).
- Exit Veil Shalas and go southwest, then west past the southern side of Auchindoun to the Sha’tar Base Camp at (32, 76). If you haven’t completed the objectives for A Hero is Needed and Helping the Lost Find Their Way, you can kill the mobs needed for both of these quests south of Auchinduon, pretty much the whole way from the Veil to the Sha’tar Base Camp. Finish them before you head to the Base Camp.
- Once in Sha’tar Base Camp:
- Speak with Scout Navrin (31.4, 75.7) to turn in Taken in the Night. If you killed the elite spider, you can also turn in Return to Sha’tari Base Camp.
- Talk to Commander Ra’vaj (31, 76.1) to turn in A Hero is Needed and accept The Fallen Exarch.
- Talk to Dwarfowitz (31, 76.2) to turn in The Big Bone Worm.
- Speak to Oakun to turn in The Dread Relic — now you can accept Evil Draws Near and try to find a party for this encounter if you want.
- Head north to enter Auchindoun via the west gate (33, 66). Go up the stairs and find a chest named Auchenai Coffin — kill the mobs around it and click the coffin. It will spawn a Reanimated Exarch, kill that too.
- Return to the Sha’tari Base Camp, and speak with Commander Ra’vaj to turn in The Fallen Exarch.
- We get to visit our friends at the never-moving Refugee Caravan (37, 51), by leaving the Base Camp heading north and then bearing a bit east once you pass Auchindoun. Once there:
- Talk to Kirrik the Awakened (37.6, 51.5) to turn in Veil Shalas: Signal Fires and accept Return to Shattrath.
- Speak with Soolaveen (37, 49.5) to turn in Helping the Lost Find Their Way.
- If you completed Torgos!, go east and then north to Stonebreaker Hold and talk to Mawg Grimshot to turn in Torgos!
- Return to Shattrath:
- Go to the northern section of the Lower City to speak with Rilak the Redeemed (52.5, 21) to turn in Return to Shattrath and Skywing.
- Nearby, turn to Defender Grashna to accept The Skettis Offensive and see if you can solo it. If you can’t, you can always ask for help in chat. Once you’re done, speak with Rilak again to turn in The Skettis Offensive.
- If you didn’t do What Book? I Don’t See Any Book, go back to step 2 of this section and do it now, you should be level 65. If you aren’t level 65, you’ll want to do some instances back in Zangarmarsh or here in Terokkar, or do something else from the Extra XP section, then return and do this step. Don’t forget to turn in Marks of Kil’jaeden if you’re Aldor or Firewing Signets if you’re Scryer
- Stock up on supplies if you’re low, repair armor and free up some bag space. Then leave Shattrath heading southwest towards Nagrand, via the path North of the Bleeding Hollow Ruins. (20, 56).
Extra XP In Terokkar Forest
Grinding Mobs
Terokkar Forest has several farming spots. The first two are located nearby: Veil Reskk and Veil Shienor. These are suitable spots for farming at levels 61 – 63. Veil Reskk and Veil Shienor are densely populated spots with level 62 – 63 mobs dropping Netherweave Cloth, which you can sell for extra gold or use to level up First Aid.
Starting from level 62, you can also try Firewing Point and Bonechewer Ruins. The mobs are level 63 – 64, but there’s a difference between these spots. Firewing Point has more casters, which may be an issue for certain classes. Also, mobs at Firewing Point drop Firewing Signets, which can be used to gain reputation with the Scryers. Both locations drop Netherweave Cloth as well, which can be sold.
Aldor players can grind the Shadow Tomb (31, 53); the cabal agents there will drop Marks of Kil’Jaeden which you can turn in for Aldor rep.
Terokkar Forest Dungeons: Auchindoun
Hard to miss on the map, Auchindoun lies in the middle of the Bone Wastes, a former draenei holy site now destroyed and overrun by various factions. Auchindoun has only 5-man instances. At this level, you’ll be able to do the Mana Tombs and Auchenai Crypts.
- Mana-Tombs (Recommended Level 62-66)
- Entrance is in the northern section of Auchindoun (39.5, 61.9)
- Quests: Safety is Job One, Someone Else’s Hard Work Pays Off, Undercutting the Competition.
This is all in all a challenging instance, and level 62 is a serious minimum — you should be higher level by the time you get to Terokkar forest. The mobs are ranging from 64 to 66, and the bosses are level 66, so it’s better to wait till level 65 to enter. Overall, it’s best to skip this dungeon if you can’t find a good party. If leveling is a priority, it’s better to farm in the above-mentioned spots if you need the extra XP.
- Auchenai Crypts (Recommended Level 63-67)
- Entrance is in the western section of Auchindoun (37.4,65.4)
- Quests: Everything Will be Alright
Same as with Mana-Tombs, a difficult instance if you don’t have good gear and a coordinated group. Mobs are levels 65-67, with bosses being level 67.
