We’ve had rumors of upcoming release information for TBC Classic for the last couple of weeks, most notably from Nano (a former member of Nostalrius).

It seems that they’ve finally been revealed by Staysafe TV on his channel.
TBC Beta – Mid February. TBC 2.0 Prepatch earmarked for April 13th/14th (US/EU).
TBC release date earmarked for May 4th Global Release (meaning May 3rd 6pm US ESY)
Staysafe mentions that he’s heard this leak from multiple sources, however leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt.
News of a Prepatch means that in some way we’ll see existing realms progressing from WoW Classic to TBC, meaning that if players want to keep their character as WoW Classic only they would need an option to copy/move it to a non-progressing realm.
IMO – Current servers progress directly to TBC alongside a small number of “fresh” tbc servers with the 2.0 prepatch or TBC official launch. With a character copy option for a perma-vanilla realm and “Fresh” classic realms sometime in the future.

We should end up getting a lot of information during Blizzconline then, the dates align for the TBC beta in mid February.
I know some people consider this too fast but with population declining so much since AQ I’m ready for TBC.
I think tbc classic will attract 10x the playerbase that vanilla did tbh
I want to create a Draenei Shaman.
I don’t like the world buffs. This is the reason I want TBC to come as fast it can. Vanilla is good, but not all classes and spec are viable. I think it will be a good progression for all. I also like the idea to still allow player to play vanilla on seasons base.
tbc has even more consumables than vanilla has + world buffs have a percentage increase, so you can assume ppl will farm hakkar hearts and burn them before their bc raid starts, only that portals will go to shattrath instead.
There are no world buffs to get in tbc.
Depends on the patch Blizz is going to chose to start with. At the beginning of TBC vanilla WBs absolutely were still present and usable.
NO less consumes since you can only use 2 at any one time 1 guardian and 1 battle and a flask takes up both I believe

Wtf, how ignorant can you get? world buffs will not make their way into classic tbc, they were already nerfed in original bc to begin with. Why would they backtrack on a good change that happened 15+years ago? and more consumables my ass. you either get a flask or an elixir combo. no more stacking the two. Jesus christ, stop spreading misinformation.

I never got to play TBC back in the day, so I’m really stoked for this. RIP my fury warrior though… he will live to fight another expansion.

The fact that nano’s tweet directed to Stay Safe and Stay Safe quoted Nano; kind of lowers the legitimacy of these; and that being said this info really isn’t anything new from what nano said 2-3 months ago minus with actual dates
The Character COPYshould be to TBC servers. People in classic shouldnt have to move anywhere. New content, new servers, have people COPY to that. The other way around would make classic people have to make an extra step to play classic and might just stay in TBC.
Make all those that want TBC take the extra step.
What kinda shite is this to allow vanilla 60 toons to go onto a tbc realm and screw over the economy from a get go? No way. 58++ only and no classic shites allowed. PERIOD.

TBC and Wrath are the golden age of WoW. Everything good about Vanilla with more quality of life improvements, all specs viable, and heroics.
for me it was the end so far and will be again. this time earlier -iI won’t play tbc again.

lol, this is a wild viewpoint. tbc and wrath were the best eras of wow, and only crusty old boomers who think that things have to be inconvenient and poorly designed to be fun think otherwise. if you have nostalgia for vanilla that makes it better for you than tbc or wrath then you do you but you kinda just sound like you think hating on something popular makes you special tbh
