Hallowed Be Thy Name Achievement Guide

Hallow’s End provides a lot of opportunity for achievements, including the meta achievement Hallowed Be Thy Name, a criteria for Strange Trip that is only available during this event. To complete these achievements you will need a decent amount of luck, and persistence, but none of them are especially difficult.

Hallowed Be Thy Name

This is the big one for Hallow’s End, requiring you to get almost all of the achievements from the event. This will reward you with the title The Hallowed, and is one of 8 required achievements for Strange Trip, taking a full year of events and rewarding you with a unique Violet Proto-Drake.

Out With It

To unlock this you will need to eat so many Tricky Treats that you vomit, how fun! These are rewarded for almost everything you do for Hallow’s End, including opening candy buckets in inns and defeating the Headless Horseman. Simply eat enough treats that your character can’t keep them down anymore and you’ll have this one quick and easy. Make sure you save room for dinner.

The Savior of Hallow’s End

For this, you will need to complete one of the quests to put out fires in the various zones outside of capital cities. These quests are Let the Fires Come and Stop the Fires

Rotten Hallow

Getting this is easy enough, simply do your factions two event quests in Southshore.

Alliance players are given the quests The Power of Pine and Crashing the Wickerman Festival from Sergeant Hartman in Southshore.

Both of these are fairly easy. The Power of Pine requires you to throw a Stink Bomb Cleaner at the orange clouds of smoke in Southshore. This quest is easy in theory, but each smoke cloud can only be cleaned by one player, so you will have to beat them to it! Crashing the Wickerman Festival is going to end up being the easier of the two, at least for most players. You simply need to visit the Wickerman in Tirisfal Glades, to the west of Undercity. Just make sure you steer clear of the Horde guards.

Horde players are instead given Stinking Up Southshore and Rotten Eggs from Darkcaller Yanka. You can find her standing just west of Undercity.

For Stinking Up Southshore you will have to sneak into Southshore and drop three Stink Bombs. While you’re there, Rotten Eggs is done right inside the inn, simply find the wall of kegs in the main room, and interact with the topmost one. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be given Ruined Kegs, tasking you to return to Darkcaller Yanka.

Check Your Head

For this, you will need to use a Weighted Jack-o-lantern on a player of every race in the game. This isn’t very complicated, but on one-sided faction servers, you will absolutely have a hard time finding some of the races. Your best bet for this will be to queue for battlegrounds until you have found players of every race. I’m sure someone out there plays a Gnome, right?

Bring Me The Head of… Oh Wait

Another hard-to-miss one, simply kill the Headless Horseman found inside the Scarlet Monastery. You can find his drops and a guide to the fight in our Hallow’s End Event Guide!

Sinister Calling

This one will require some luck or some persistence. You will need to obtain both a Sinister Squashling and a Hallowed Helm, both dropped by the Headless Horseman event. You can technically farm this by rotating in new players constantly to keep summoning him, but you will still need the items to drop and to be the one who wins them.

That Sparkling Smile

Use a Tooth Pick. That’s it. You’ll find a lot of these during the rest of these achievements, found in handful of candy, dropped by the Headless Horseman, and all kinds of places. It’ll be hard to not get a Tooth Pick.

GNERD Rage

This achievement requires you to get 50 Honorable Kills while under the effects of GNERDS. This may sound like a lot, but GNERDS lasts for 30-minutes, and you don’t need to get the killing blow. You can easily get this in one match of Wintergrasp, even if you are only ever behind the wheel of a Demolisher. GNERDS are rewarded by trick-or-treating in inns.

The Masquerade

For this you will need to be transformed into all 7 different forms available using Hallowed Wands. You won’t be able to get this one alone, needing another player to use the wand on you. I recommend you find someone also looking for this achievement and exchanging wand uses with each other. Hallowed Wands can be found in most things you do during Hallow’s End and Random does not count towards the achievement.

Trick or Treat!

This one is simple as. Simply visit an inn and open the candy bucket found inside. It looks like a Jack-O-Lantern full of treats. If you get a handful of candy, congratulations! If not, try again later.

Tricks and Treats of Azeroth

This achievement requires you to visit most of the inns in Azeroth! A nice journey taking you everywhere from Booty Bay, Everlook, and Stormspire. Getting this requires you to get three individual, smaller achievements. Tricks and Treats of Eastern Kingdoms, Tricks and Treats of Kalimdor, and Tricks and Treats of Outland. Remember though, all of these achievements are faction-specific, so Alliance and Horde do need to visit different inns to complete this.

If you are fond of achievements and don’t have it already, this is as good a time as any to do World Explorer!

The Mask Task

This is another easy one, simply receive a Flimsy Mask from trick-or-treating.

A Mask for All Occasions

This is less easy. Instead of receiving a single Flimsy Mask, you will need to collect all 20 of them. Duplicates don’t help you, so you could just get incredibly unlucky and not be able to get this achievement this year. Luckily this achievement is not a part of the meta achievement Hallowed Be Thy Name so it isn’t the worst thing if you miss it this year.
