In this section we will be covering the ideal Glyphs, Gems, and Consumables to maximize your damage output in Wrath of the Lich King.
Glyphs
Major Glyphs
- Glyph of Lava which offers an increase of 10% of your spell power to your Lava Burst spell
- Glyph of Lightning Bolt increases the damage of Lightning Bolt by 4%
- Glyph of Totem of Wrath offers 30% of the spell power granted by your Totem of Wrath as an additional buff when you cast the ability for 5 minutes.
Minor Glyphs
- Glyph of Thunderstorm offers an increase in mana regeneration by 2% but removes the knockback effect (particularly useful in raiding)
- Glyph of Renewed Life removes the need for a reagent for Reincarnation
- Glyph of Water Shield to increase the number of orbs
- Glyph of Water Walking removes the need for a reagent for Water Walking
Gems
Low Gear Gems
- Yellow socket: Reckless Monarch Topaz(x2-x3) depending on your gear pieces
- Yellow socket: Veiled Monarch Topaz (if you lack hit rating)
- Yellow socket: Potent Monarch Topaz(x2-x3) Depending on your gear pieces
- Red socket: Runed Scarlet Ruby
- Blue socket: Glowing Twilight Opal
- Prismatic socket: Enchanted Tear
- Meta socket: Chaotic Skyflare Diamond
High Gear Gems
- Meta socket: Chaotic Skyflare Diamond
- Prismatic socket: Nightmare Tear
- Red socket: Runed Cardinal Ruby
- Blue socket: Glowing Dreadstone
- Yellow socket: Veiled Ametrine (if you are lacking on Hit Rating)
- Yellow socket: Reckless Ametrine(x2-x3) depending on your gear and how many sockets you have
- Yellow socket: Potent Ametrine(x2-x3) depending on your gear and how many sockets you have

- Head: Arcanum of Burning Mysteries
- Shoulders: Greater Inscription of the Storm
- Cloak: Enchant Cloak – Greater Speed
- Chest: Enchant Chest – Powerful Stats

- Gloves: Enchant Gloves – Exceptional Spellpower
- Waist: Eternal Belt Buckle
- Legs: Sapphire Spellthread
- Boots: Enchant Boots – Icewalker or Nitro Boots (Requires Engineering 375)

+all stats are useless for casters. better off with spell power and spirit for blue sockets for spirit classes, and mp5 for shammans.
Agreed. I would prefer stam for a bit more hp though, cuz 10mp5 is meh.
12sp + 15stam/10mp5 > 10 all stats (Str Agi Int Sta Spi).
Bracers enchant should be Superior Spellpower and not Greater Spellpower i asume..?
