In this section, we will be covering what is deemed to be an effective stat priority list for Elemental Shamans in Wrath of the Lich King, and will further explain each stat in more detail.
Hit Rating
Spell Power
Haste
Critical Strike Rating
Intellect
Spell Power – Every caster in World of Warcraft should definitely aim to obtain as much Spell Power as they possibly can, and Elemental Shamans are no exception.
Hit Rating – Ideally, your Hit Rating should be sitting at 13-14% unbuffed from any other classes/races. With buffs, you should be sitting at the required 17% to eliminate the chance for your spells to miss.
Haste – Haste is extremely important for the Elemental Shaman; the more haste obtained, the better chance to be consistent with your damage. An amount of 1000 to 1100 haste rating unbuffed will do wonders for your damage.
Critical Strike Rating – With Totem of Wrath increasing your Critical Strike Chance by 3% and your gear offering plenty, you shouldn’t find yourself needing to gem for this stat.
Intellect – Intellect is an incredibly beneficial stat as it not only increases your mana pool, it also increases your Critical Strike Chance.

What about “Elemental Precision” talent? Wouldn’t you only need 11% hit chance for raids? This guide doesn’t seem very well thought out.
He said 13-14% unbuffed from other classes, which means 3% from Elemental Precision, and another 1% if you are alliance. If you have spriest or boomy you only need 10-11% dependent on faction.

Unbuffed from OTHER classes. Doesn’t that mean Elemental Precision is being included in the calculation?
