Welcome to Warcraft Tavern’s Reputation Guide for the Oracles in Wrath of the Lich King Classic! In this guide, we’ll go over all the ways you can gain reputation with the Oracles faction, as well as the best ways to reach Exalted. We’ll also take a look at the rewards you can get from this faction, and explain how to unlock the daily quests.
How to Reach Exalted With The Oracles
Status | Additional Reputation Required |
Neutral | 0 |
Friendly | 3000 |
Honored | 6000 |
Revered | 12,000 |
Exalted | 21,000 |
Reaching Exalted with the Oracles has a clear progression. First, players will need to complete an initial quest line — you unlock this questline by killing Pitch for The Part-Time Hunter and then accepting Playing Along. This begins a questline for the Frenzyheart Tribe and then the Oracles (your reputation will shift during this part; don’t worry, you will choose between the two factions at the end).
This questline sets you to 1101 points into Honored status with the Oracles. From Honored on, you will do the 3 daily quests they have at Rainspeaker Canopy in Sholazar Basin. The daily quests will net you a total of 1700 rep per day, so the journey to Exalted will take 19 days.
Who Needs Oracle Reputation?
Since this faction doesn’t contribute much toward character strength, it’s only a priority when looking for the mount, pets, and achievements.
- Mounts and pets
- The greatest benefit of Oracles rep is that it gives players a chance at a mount, Reins of the Green Proto-Drake. There are also four companion pets you have a chance at getting: Proto-Drake Whelp, Cobra Hatchling, Tickbird Hatchling, and White Tickbird Hatchling.
- Gear
- The gear items that are offered make for decent pre-raid pieces. The trinket, Oracle Talisman of Ablution, is useful for solo PvE farming. Since it requires you to land a killing blow in order to restore resources, it isn’t great outside of farming.
- Jewelcrafting
- There are two patterns you unlock by gaining rep with the Oracles — Design: Vivid Dark Jade, Design: Sundered Forest Emerald
- Achievements
- The Oracle’s daily quests and reputation can lead to a few achievements: Savior of the Oracles, The Oracles, Mercenary of Sholazar

Oracles Quests
The questline for the Oracles can be found in Sholazar Basin; these quests have a level requirement of 76. The questline takes place entirely within Sholazar Basin, so there won’t be a lot of travel involved. Once you have completed the Nesingwary prerequisite (The Part-Time Hunter), you’ll begin the quest Playing Along. For a complete walkthrough of this questline, check out the Sholazar Basin Daily Quest guide — it details the Oracles’ daily quests, but also includes information on this prerequisite chain.

Time to decide:
A Hero’s Burden– In this final quest in the pre-req chain, players will be tasked with defeating Artruis the Heartless. At this point, you’ll need to decide between the Frenzyheart Tribe and the Oracles, so in order to continue with the Oracles, you will need to kill the wolvar, Zepik the Gorloc Hunter, during this quest. After the ensuing battle, you will be offered a quest by the Oracle you saved, Jaloot. The following quest, Hand of the Oracles, will grant you Honored status with the Oracles upon completion.
Oracles Daily Quests
The only other way of gaining rep with the Oracles is the three daily quests offered at Rainspeaker Canopy. These three quests are selected randomly from a pool of eight possible dailies
Once you’ve completed the quest chain and raised your reputation to Honored, your only way of gaining reputation will be the three daily quests that grant 500-700 reputation each. These three quests are selected randomly from a pool of eight possible dailies, and will be unlocked once you’ve completed the final Oracles introduction quest, Hand of the Oracles.
Some of these quests require a flying mount or are faster with one. If you have flying skill but lack Cold Weather Flying, you can get a free loaned mount (Loaned Gryphon Reins or Loaned Wind Rider Reins) from “Honest” Max at K3 in the Storm Peaks. This free mount works in Sholazar Basin, Storm Peaks, and Icecrown. It isn’t as fast as Cold Weather Flying, but it will at least allow you to access places you can’t reach on foot.
