Welcome to Warcraft Tavern’s Reputation Guide for the The Silver Covenant in Wrath of the Lich King Classic! In this guide, we’ll cover all the ways you can gain The Silver Covenant reputation, and we’ll explain how they’re related to the Alliance Vanguard and its other sub-factions. We’ll also briefly go over how you can reach Exalted with the faction.
Unlike most Alliance Vanguard subfactions (Explorers’ League, The Frostborn, The Silver Covenant, Valiance Expedition), there are Faction Rewards to be gained from the The Silver Covenant, albeit only three — two epic mounts and a companion). The Silver Covenant are also unique in that essentialy all of their quests are Argent Tournament quests.
Trivia: The Silver Covenant is a faction of high elves led by Vereesa Windrunner and based out of Dalaran City. They have joined the Alliance Vanguard in fighting against the Lich King’s forces in Northrend.
How to Reach Exalted With The Silver Covenant
This section serves as a TL;DR for the rest of the guide
Status | Additional Reputation Required |
Neutral | 0 |
Friendly | 3000 |
Honored | 6000 |
Revered | 12,000 |
Exalted | 21,000 |
The simplest way to reach Exalted with The Silver Covenant is to participate in the Argent Tournament. By working towards becoming a Champion of all five Alliance factions in the tournament, you can reach Exalted with the Silver Covenant in about 27 days (a few days before you’ll be able to become x5 Champion) assuming you do the max allowed dailies every day.
If you get sick of the Argent Tournament quests, you can also earn The Silver Covenant reputation by running Heroic Instances without a tabard. (H)Utgarde Keep and (H)Utgarde Pinnacle, or (H)Azjol-Nerub and (H)Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom are both excellent choices. Both pairs of dungeons are fairly quick to clear, and each pair has entrances near each other (to save travel time). Optionally, you can also avoid killing the bosses and then exit/re-enter the instances after killing the trash in order to earn even more rep each day.
If you get bored of these, you can run one of the other dungeons listed below.
Gaining The Silver Covenant Reputation
The primary way to gain reputation with The Silver Covenant is by participating in the Argent Tournament, which is found in the far northeast of Icecrown.
Additionally, you can earn The Silver Covenant rep by killing mobs in Heroic dungeons (and the four level 80 normal instances). Finally, you can also earn The Silver Covenant rep by gaining reputation with the other Alliance Vanguard sub-factions (Explorers’ League, The Valiance Expedition, and The Frostborn). You’ll receive Silver Covenant reputation at a rate of 50% of whatever rep you gain with those factions.
The Silver Covenant Quests
As mentioned above, basically all of The Silver Covenant quests are Argent Tournament quests. Note that many of these quests also grant rep with whatever Alliance city you are currently representing in the tournament (you start representing your race’s home city) — specific cities are therefore not listed in the rewards.
Argent Tournament Daily Quest Walkthroughs
Note that the first time you do many of these quests, you’ll receive an Aspirant’s Seal instead of the Valient’s Seal (which is what you’ll earn when doing the quests for subsequent cities). The list below also links to many quests that are city faction specific, so you may need to find your city’s version of the quest in order to find the correct quest giver.
The Silver Covenant Dungeons
In addition to the Argent Tournament, you can earn The Silver Covenant rep by killing mobs in dungeons. The following normal level 80 instances will grant you spillover rep with all the Alliance Vanguard factions (Explorers’ League, The Frostborn, The Silver Covenant, Valiance Expedition), and you can do 5 an hour:
- Utgarde Pinnacle
- The Culling of Stratholme
- The Oculus
- Halls of Lightning
Additionally, all Wrath heroic dungeons will grant rep with the Alliance Vanguard factions. You can choose to run these dungeons like normal, or you can kill the trash mobs and leave the bosses alive, and then exit and re-enter the instance to clear the mobs again.
- Utgarde Keep
- Utgarde Pinnacle
- The Nexus
- The Oculus
- Halls of Stone
- Halls of Lightning
- Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom
- Azjol-Nerub
- Dark-Tharon Keep
- Gundrak
- The Violet Hold
- Caverns of Time: Culling of Stratholme
- Trial of the Champion
- Forge of Souls
- Pit of Saron
- Halls of Reflection
Don’t forget: If you’re looking to gain rep for The Silver Covenant while in dungeons, make sure you don’t have a tabard equipped!
The Silver Covenant Reputation Rewards
In order to purchase items from the Silver Covenant Quartermaster Hiren Loresong, you’ll need to reach Exalted with the faction. At that point, the following items will become available for purchase. The quartermaster is found in your faction’s Argent Tournament tent, hanging out with the rest of the Silver Covenant NPCs.
All of the Silver Covenant items are purchased with Champion’s Seals, which are earned by doing the Champion-level Argent Tournament daily quests.
