Blizzard recently announced a new board game set in the World of Warcraft universe, where players will control heroes such as Thrall, Sylvanas Windrunner, and Varian Wrynn. Heroes will journey across Northrend, to stop the Lich King and his undead army: The Scourge.
Z-Man Games, the publisher of the classic Pandemic board games that revolve around players cooperating in order to stop the spread of viruses, teamed up with Blizzard to combine those familiar systems with the World of Warcraft universe. Players will have to team up in order to stop the spread of the undead plague, and reach the Icecrown Citadel for a final assault.
World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King: A Pandemic System Board Game is slated for release later this year, with pre-orders available on Blizzard Gear Store and on the official Z-Man Games website.
