In a post on the official forums, Kaivax announced that Blizzard will be reducing the cost of Honor PvP gear by 30%.
This change will be coming with a hotfix very soon. It will help reduce the imbalance in PvP gear availability created by the fact that Blizzard added a cap to the amount of times you can do Wintergrasp, which reduced the possibly honor gain by players. Some players did not get to benefit from the pre-nerf Wintergrasp honor gain, and would be left behind in gear without this change.
With the first Arena season starting this week, we are reducing the cost of Honor gear by 30%.
During the first week of the expansion there were some very profitable ways of earning Honor which have been resolved. With this change, players who are reaching level 80 this week will be able to acquire Deadly, Hateful, and Savage gear a bit more quickly, to prepare for Arena play.
