This guide will cover how to get the Beast Mastery rune for Hunters in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

- Level: 10 (Recommended)
How to Get the Beast Mastery Rune
There are five different places where this rune can be obtained: Darkshore, Loch Modan, Silverpine Forest, The Barrens, and Westfall.
Darkshore (
Alliance Zone)
To get the Beast Mastery rune, head to Darkshore and kill furbolgs until one drops an item called Crab Treats. This item also has a chance to drop when fishing in the waters around Darkshore.
Once you have the item, head to the beach and use it on a crab. Your Rune of Beast Mastery will appear in your bags.
Loch Modan ( Alliance Zone)
To get the Beast Mastery rune, travel to the hut where Daryl the Youngling resides in the southeast corner of Loch Modan and look for an Empty Trophy Display (83.6, 65.5). Loot it to get your your Rune of Beast Mastery.
Silverpine Forest (
Horde Zone)
To get the Beast Mastery rune, head to Silverpine Forest and kill Ferocious Grizzled Bear in the northern part of the zone until a Grizzled Protector appears. This is a level 16 elite. Kill it to loot your Rune of Beast Mastery.
The Barrens ( Horde Zone)
To get the Beast Mastery rune via this method, you will need to be at least level 20 and have learned the Freezing Trap ability.
Head to The Barrens just north of Camp Taurajo and look for a Patrolling Cheetah (44.6, 56.8). It will have a speed buff that you must remove by dropping a Freezing Trap in its path. You will then be able to kill it and loot your Rune of Beast Mastery.
Westfall ( Alliance Zone)
To get the Beast Mastery rune, head to Westfall and kill goretusks throughout the zone until one drops a Goretusk Haunch.
Once you have the item, head to the Coyote Dwelling just north of Gold Coast Quarry (35.6, 38.4) and use the item to bait Silverspur. Kill this level 14 beast to loot your Rune of Beast Mastery.
