This guide will cover how to get the Blunderbuss rune for Rogues in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Blunderbuss Rune

As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.

Original Discovery Method

To get the Blunderbuss rune, you’ll need to be at least level 50 and have a minimum 250 Lockpicking skill.

In Eastern Plaguelands, head to Tyr’s Hand. Lockpick the Scarlet Footlockers there until you get a Sending Sigil.

You will see that the sigil lists arrows ” > v ^ < “, which matches locations of four Sending Pillars located in Eastern Plaguelands: you will need to visit and interact with them in that order — East, South, North, and West Sending Pillars.

  1. East Sending Pillar at the Light Hope’s Citadel (82, 58)
  2. South Sending Pillar at Darrowshire (40, 92)
  3. North Sending Pillar at Northdale (70, 35)
  4. West Sending Pillar at Terrordale (16, 29)

Unfortunately, the pillars will teleport you around the map, and not to the correct location (the east pillar will take you to the west one, for example, but that’s not the correct one to interact with next). Regardless of where you end up, you need to make your way to the next pillar in the order of the code. Do not use a pillar to teleport back: doing so will mess up the order. It’s worth noting that dying will not reset the progress.

Once you interact with the last (west) pillar, you should get teleported to a house that has Adon’s Trunk inside. It will contain the rune.

Note: you can’t skip the Sending Sigil step. Having the item is required to interact with the pillars.
