Class Skill Books – Season of Discovery (SoD)

As well as Rune Engravings, Season of Discovery has expanded class abilities through the addition of new skill books which add new baseline abilities for each class. For Phase 4, many new skill books have been added to the game as well as a few that are replacing former runes. These books are spread across several classes, although not every class will have anything new this phase.

Hunter Skill Books

Treatise on the Heart of the Lion

Formerly learned as a rune, this book teaches Heart of the Lion as a baseline class ability. It can be purchased from the following vendors for 2:

Mage Skill Books

Mages have no new skill books this phase.

Paladin Skill Books

Testament of Avenging Wrath

This book teaches the Avenging Wrath ability, which is new in Phase 4. It is obtained along with the Shock and Awe Rune, which first requires earning the Righteous Vengeance Rune.

Testament of Divine Steed

This book teaches the Divine Steed ability, which is new in Phase 4. The book is not purchased, but is given along with the information meant to guide you towards the Righteous Vengeance Rune.

Testament of Martyrdom

Formerly learned as a rune, this book teaches Seal of Martyrdom as a baseline class ability. It can be purchased from the following vendors for 50:
