This guide will cover how to get the Decoy Totem rune for Shamans in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Decoy Totem Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
To get Decoy Totem, find your way to Thousand Needles and kill cloud serpents for 3 Cloud Serpent Fang and harpies for 10 Strong Harpy Feather, which you’ll combine with 1 Silken Thread from any trade goods vendor to make the Offering to the Wind Spirit.
The Altar of the Wind Spirit can be found behind the hut at 39, 41 on top of the butte in the map above, but first you’ll need to find a way up.
To get onto the correct butte, you’ll need to travel west up the road from Freewind Post. At 30.9, 36.9, you’ll find a pathway up the side of one of the buttes.
Once you’ve reached the Altar of the Wind Spirit, click on the necklace for a 30-second buff of the same name, its descriptive text telling you to jump as a test of faith. Jump off the cliff behind the Wind Spirit and you’ll receive the rune in your bags.
