Farming is a big part of World of Warcraft! Whether you’re looking to gather materials for crafting or just hoping to get lucky with a particular item drop, much of what you’ll be doing in the game will require searching for particular mobs or nodes to collect around Azeroth.
Whether the item you’re looking for spawns as an object in the world or drops from particular mobs, knowing the best places to look will save you a lot of time and frustration in the long run. To that end, we’ve assembled some useful farming guides to help you in your WoW Classic journey.
Chest and Lockboxes
One popular method for making gold is by farming chests or lockboxes. Chests can be opened by any character while Lockboxes can only be opened by a Rogue or using a Blacksmithing key or an Engineering charge.
Items
There are many Unique Items & Abilities to be acquired across Azeroth.
Profession Materials
Characters with Herbalism can collect herbs from plants found around the world for use in Alchemy.
Those with the Mining profession can collect ore, stone, and gems from nodes across Azeroth for use in Blacksmithing and Engineering.
Anyone with Skinning can collect leather and hide from the corpses of beasts to use in Leatherworking.
A character with Enchanting can Disenchant all sorts of loot to get dust and essences for use in their crafting.
If you have Fishing, you’ll be able to fish from pools and open water to acquire fish for Cooking as well as various other useful items.
All characters are able to loot Cloth from mobs for use in the Tailoring and First Aid professions.
