This guide will cover how to get the Flanking Strike rune for Hunters in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Flanking Strike Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
There are four places where you can discover this rune: Dun Morogh, Durotar, Mulgore, or Teldrassil.
Dun Morogh (
Alliance Zone)
To get the Flanking Strike rune, kill boars scattered around Dun Morogh until you loot a Dun Morogh Pig Meat.
Take the meat into the marked cave below and use it in the deepest spot to summon a rare elite bear named Jorul. Kill him to take his Rune of Flanking.
Durotar (
Horde Zone)
To get the Flanking Strike rune, kill boars in Durotar until you loot a Durotar Pig Meat.
Take the meat into the area marked at 69, 71 below and use it to summon a rare cat named Raluk. Kill him to take his Rune of Flanking.
Mulgore ( Horde Zone)
To get the Flanking Strike rune, kill swoops and plainstriders in Mulgore until you loot a Mulgore Bird Meat.
Take the meat into the area marked at 36, 57 below and use it to summon a rare cat named Mokwa. Kill him to take his Rune of Flanking.
Teldrassil ( Alliance Zone)
To get the Flanking Strike rune, kill owls in Teldrassil until you loot a Teldrassil Bird Meat.
Take the meat into the area marked at 48, 31 below and use it to summon a rare bear named Mowgh. Kill him to take his Rune of Flanking.
