This guide will cover how to get the Hit and Run rune for Hunters in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Hit and Run Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
Hit and Run is learned from Rune of the Guerrilla, which is dropped from Escaped Core Hounds in Burning Steppes and can also be looted from Calefactus the Unleashed, located in the western side of the Blasted Lands.
Escaped Core Hound seems to have the best drop rate so far, though it’s not 100%, so you may need to kill multiple. They are scattered across the Burning Steppes.
Calefactus the Unleashed seems to have a low drop rate and is considered a secondary option for getting the rune. Note that this NPC has an Undying Fel Fire buff, in order to kill him you’ll need Infernal Lasso trinket.
