There’s a new cosmetic item for Warlock Tanks in Phase 6 of Season of Discovery! The Zila Amanemodas can teach you to control your inner demon and flap your Metamorphosis wings without giving up your humanoid form.

Preparation

Getting this item requires defeating a difficult enemy, so you’ll want to be prepared. Here are a few tips before you head out:

Finding Fleuric

When you’re ready, head to Deadwind Pass. Across the river from Karazhan you’ll find the tower that leads to the back entrance of the castle (entrance at 48.3, 67.6). Enter the tower and climb to the top to find an ominous-looking human named Fleuric.

If you speak to Fleuric with your Metamorphosis form active, he’ll teleport you to an instanced version of the zone where you will face your inner demon, Xalus Nihilus.

Defeating Xalus Nihilus

This is a tough enemy, and he hits very hard, so your goal here is, well, not to get hit! Use Curse of Exhaustion to slow him down so you can keep ahead of him. If he starts to get too close for comfort, use Death Coil. Throw up your DoTs on him while you kite.

Every 10 seconds you’ll be able to summon a pet for free, similar to the Scythe of Chaos proc – the game will notify you with a sound, so be sure that your in-game sound effects are audible. This will help you make use of the two pet abilities you’ll need. First, he’ll put a debuff on you that will slow you down; that’s when you need to use your Felhunter’s Devour Magic to dispel it. When he casts Demonic Destruction, use your Voidwalker’s Sacrifice. When he uses Shadow Cleave, avoid the cone or interrupt the ability with Spell Lock.

Defeating this demon will earn you the Zila Amanemodas, which is automatically equipped in your Key Ring.
