This guide will cover how to get the Improved Volley rune for Hunters in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Improved Volley Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
First, head to Silithus and kill worms, scorpions, and spiders throughout the region. These beasts have a chance to drop a Busted Gizmo.
Once you have the item, head to Edwi Copperbolt, located at Bronzebeard’s Encampment (it’s east of Ahn’Qiraj, in the southeastern portion of the map – 41.2, 88.8). He’ll give you a Desert Sonar device.
Now you need to head to one of the following confirmed coordinates: (37, 61), (41, 66), (38, 59), or (33, 66), or this area in general:
Once here, look for an animation of rocks rumbling — you will get a buff when you are on top of it. This is when you need to use the Desert Sonar to summon a Sandworm. Kill the worm to loot the Rune of Shelling.
