The Onyxia’s Lair raid is returning to WoW Classic with Phase 4 of Season of Discovery, with some new and reitemized loot to collect. This guide will cover everything that you might see drop from this iconic single-boss instance.

This guide is currently based on a combination of datamined information and the original loot from Vanilla WoW. We won’t know for sure what loot drops in this raid until after the raid opens on July 25th.

No Tier 2 Helms

The Tier 2 helm pieces that normally drop from Onyxia in Vanilla WoW are not going to be included in her loot table at this time in Season of Discovery. This was confirmed by the developers, who said she has “misplaced” these items.

Onyxia Boss Loot

All of the valuable loot that can be obtained from this raid is dropped by its lone boss, Onyxia. Many of these items have had their stats tweaked while others are completely new for this season.

Quest Rewards

There are some quests that can only be completed with items provided by Onyxia which reward some powerful epic items.
