PvE Feral Druid Tank Best Professions – WoW Classic

wow classic pve feral druid tank best professions

Here we’ll showcase the best professions for Feral Druid Tanks along with any other useful professions that may increase survivability, offer more tools, or even generate a lot of gold! We’ll also showcase each profession that is considered sub-optimal so you’ll know what to avoid.

Best Professions

  • Engineering is known as the best PvE and PvP profession in WoW Classic, providing players with the ability to create Bombs, Gadgets, Grenades, and special Gear pieces that severely enhance the performance of any character. Feral Druids can use Engineering to boost their Threat Generation with Goblin Sapper ChargeDark Iron Bomb, and Thorium Grenade. The only downside of Engineering is that the profession is extremely hard to level up and maintain, requiring a large amount of materials that can drain your gold instantly if not paired with Mining.
  • Mining is a great profession if you choose to pair it with Engineering! Since it is so expensive to use Engineering, players will always want to pair it with Mining to be able to get a steady supply of ore and bars for their gadgets and consumables.
  • Leatherworking is a great profession that can land you some awesome gear pieces, both throughout your leveling journey and at level 60. Later on, the profession can be used to craft Fire Resistance Gear and some interesting Epic Items, although most can be bought since they are BoE. Similar to other crafting professions, Leatherworking can become expensive to level up or create high-end items without pairing it with Skinning.
  • Skinning is a useful profession for any Feral Druid who picks up Leatherworking ! The profession allows players to skin beasts and gather their hides, creating Leather pieces in the process.

Useful Professions

  • Alchemy is one of the best professions for gold generation and overall resources for just about any class! When paired with Herbalism it will make sure that you won’t lack any elixir, potion, or flask you may require during combat.
  • Herbalism is an extremely good gold generation tool for any player as it allows them to gather herbs from across the world which can be sold or used with Alchemy. Druids have an extended bonus when using this profession as they can gather herbs without needing to shapeshift, meaning they can use Travel Form to gather plants quickly without much competition.

Sub-Optimal Professions

  • Blacksmithing is a sub-optimal profession for Feral Druids, providing only a few items of real value. The only valuable items are the keys that can unlock lockboxes, rods for enchanters to use, and Iron Counterweight. Since Druids can’t use any Mail or Plate items, the profession is useless to them besides keys and the Iron Counterweight which would have to be mass-produced for the Crowd Pummelers.
  • Enchanting is sub-optimal besides its role in gold generation through Disenchanting and providing services. The profession is considered sub-optimal since players can buy the enchants from someone else, meaning that it doesn’t grant any special bonus.
  • Tailoring is sadly worthless for Feral Druids since none of the craftable items grant Strength or Agility, the profession mainly being a BiS for Caster specializations. Nonetheless, it can be okay to generate gold, but Alchemy and Herbalism generate far more gold when compared.
