In WoW Classic, Holy Paladins have a similar yet distinctive stat priority when compared to their fellow Healing Specializations! This is because they don’t have any Mana Regeneration tool tied to Spirit, instead having a passive related to Spell Critical Strike Chance, Illumination.

- Spell Hit Chance
Holy Paladins benefit the most from Spell Power, increasing the output of their Healing Spells! This stat is split into two different categories, Raw Spell Power and Healing Power, with the latter ranking higher in terms of importance since in WoW Classic. Healing Power is typically higher in terms of overall value than Raw Spell Power. You will want to prioritize items and enchants with Healing Power over Raw Spell Power, but you will want to get Raw Spell Power whenever Healing Power is not available.
Intellect is a primary stat that increases a Holy Paladin’s Mana Pool and Spell Critical Strike Chance. Holy Paladins are the only Healer Specialization who want Intellect more than the others, to increase their overall Mana Pool as much as possible. This is done since they have no active Mana Regeneration tool, instead having to rely on a passive effect that is directly tied to Spell Critical Strike Chance, Illumination. Since that effect is not guaranteed, they need to increase their Mana Pool as much as possible in case the effect barely procs.
Spell Critical Strike Chance is a stat that grants your spells a chance to damage/heal for 150% of their original value! While you won’t be doing any damage as a Holy Paladin or you might be doing some in very specific cases, the 150% value for Healing Spells is extremely important. Furthermore, besides increased healing, Holy Paladins must stack as much Spell Critical Strike Chance as much as possible because of the Illumination effect. The passive guarantees that Holy Paladins regenerate their Base Mana Cost for Flash of Light, Holy Light, and Holy Shock after each Critical Strike.
MP5 is a stat that allows you to continue regenerating Mana in combat, even while casting! The mana regeneration ticks occur every 2 seconds, despite the MP5 name, playing a decent role in your overall Mana Management. However, the stat should not be purposefully stacked since you’ll get most of your Mana back from Illumination. Holy Paladin sets typically have MP5 integrated into some items, meaning you will automatically benefit from this stat even without pursuing it.
Stamina is a stat that increases the overall Health Pool of any character. You will want to stack a considerable amount of Stamina as a Holy Paladin to improve your overall survivability and avoid instant-death mechanics in raids or dungeons.
Resistances is a stat that is not often found on typical gear pieces, being available either on special enchants or specific gear pieces that are hard to acquire. Resistances reduce the overall damage received by a specific School of Magic. You will still receive damage even while having Resistance to a School of Magic, but you will receive far less if you stack a considerable amount of it. Some examples of raids that require the stat are Onyxia and Blackwing Lair for Fire Resistance, Ahn’Qiraj for Nature Resistance, and Naxxramas for Frost Resistance.
Spirit is a stat that increases Health and Mana Regeneration while out of combat. For specializations that can regenerate MP in combat, MP will begin regenerating after 5 seconds of not casting (Using Mana), recuperating a tick of Mana every 2 seconds after the initial 5 seconds. HP can’t regenerate while in combat at all! The stat is useless for Holy Paladins since they have no Talent to facilitate combat regeneration.
Spell Hit Chance is a stat that Holy Paladins should generally avoid, as all other Healing Specializations! While you may ask yourself how you hit your Judgements, the answer is the Precision Talent, which also applies to Judgments and counts them as Ranged Attacks instead of actual spells.
