This guide will cover how to get the Arcane Blast rune for Mages in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Arcane Blast Rune
To learn Arcane Blast, head to Zoram Strand on the coast of Ashenvale.
Optionally, you can kill Naga along the beach until one drops a Naga Manuscript. This will give you a clue as to how to complete the quest, but is not needed if you are following this guide!
There are three Arcane Shards, large purple crystals along the beach at (13, 24), (14, 19), and (13, 15). You’ll need to cast Arcane Explosion near each one, starting with the south, then middle, then north. When you hit the first two crystals, you’ll gain a stack of a buff called Arcane Charge for each one. The buff lasts 30 minutes and you’ll lose it if you die, in which case you’ll have to go back to the southern crystal and start over.
Hitting the third crystal with Arcane Explosion while you have 2 stacks of Arcane Charge will award you with Spell Notes: Arcane Blast. You can right-click this item to learn the Rune Engraving.
