This guide will cover how to get the Cobra Slayer rune for Hunters in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.
- Rune: Cobra Slayer
- Engraving: Engrave Gloves – Cobra Slayer
- Class: Hunter
- Slot: Hands (changed from Chest in Phase 5)
- Added: Phase 1 (replaced in Phase 4)
- Level: 25 (Recommended)
This discovery method formerly taught the Heart of the Lion ability, which was made into a skill book in Phase 4.
How to Get the Cobra Slayer Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
To get the Cobra Slayer rune, head to southern Wetlands and enter a cave north of Dun Algaz around 53, 64, just west of the road. You’ll find a level 25 elite owl inside, Carrodin. Kill it to loot your Rune of Cobra Slayer.
