This guide will cover how to get the Flagellation rune for Warriors in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.
To get the Flagellation rune, you’ll be fighting your way through some level 25+ crypts in Duskwood. This is a contested zone and there are multiple runes in the area, so you can expect to encounter PvP here. Bringing a friend or two can make this a lot easier, but it’s possible to do it solo at level 25.
Head to the Raven Hill cemetery in the northwest part of Duskwood. This area is crowded with level 27-29 undead, so make your way through carefully. Enter the Dawning Wood Catacombs through the eastern entrance (blue on the map below – 23.5, 35.3) and go into the large room on your left. On the right wall just past the door you’ll see a sparkling Dusty Coffer on a shelf in the wall. Loot it to get a Decrepit Phylactery.

Exit the crypt the way you came in and go to the western entrance (red on the map above – 15.9, 38.7). Descend the stairs and take a right into a large stone room. You’ll see a skeleton called Slumbering Bones resting in a stone chair at the back of the room. Click on it to use the Decrepit Phylactery to summon an Awakened Lich. This is a level 25 elite undead. Defeat it to loot your Rune of Flagellation, which you can right-click to learn the rune.
