How to Get the Lava Lash Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
To acquire the Lava Lash rune, you must be at least level 4 to pick up the quest.
Go to the Lower Rise of Thunder Bluff and find the Bag Vendor. Lurking around him you’ll spot a rare and elusive Tauren Rogue, Boarton Shadetotem, around 39.6, 65.8. He will give you a series of quests that will earn you the rune.
The first of these quests is Stalk With The Earthmother, asking you to sneak into the Venture Company mine to the southeast (62.0, 45.0) and steal 5 Seaforium Mining Charges. Unfortunately, the Venture Co Disguise the Tauren Rogue provides isn’t quite up to the task, so drop the sneaking act and just bash your way through.
The second quest is also called Stalk With The Earthmother, and tasks you to find 8 Windfury Cones north of Thunder Bluff. Once you have gathered them, use the provided Mortar and Pestle item to grind them into a salve, and return to the Tauren Rogue. The cones can be hard to see, as they are very, very small.
The third and final part of Stalk With The Earthmother asks you to buy or catch a Raw Brilliant Smallfish and fillet it in front of the Tauren Rogue. Completing this will teach you Dual Wield as well as the Lava Lash Rune Engraving.
how do you skin the fish infront of the rogue trainer?
He provides the knives to use, simply use them from your inventory.
Kinda stupid… To use Lavalash, you need to get DW first. For that you need to be 25…
you don’t need to be 25
You get Dual Wield *from* the Lava Lash quests.
