This guide will cover how to get the Mangle rune for Druids in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Mangle Rune
This rune can be obtained in either Mulgore or Teldrassil.
Mulgore (
Horde Zone)
To obtain the Mangle rune, you will need to be at least level 10 and have learned the Bear Form ability. Learning Bear Form requires completing a short quest chain that starts with Heeding the Call, which you can pick up from Gennia Runetotem at Bloodhoof Village in Mulgore at level 10. The idol you need can be picked up earlier, but it requires level 10 to equip.
You can kill any of the following enemies in Mulgore until one of them drops an Idol of Ursine Rage. Note that you will likely kill several Venture Co. Supervisors while making your way through the Venture Co. Mine if you go for the Lifebloom Rune there, so you can knock out two runes at once that way.

Right-click the idol to equip it in your relic slot. To activate it, you must keep your Rage above 50 for at least 60 seconds while in Bear Form. The easiest way to do this is simply to attack mobs without spending Rage on abilities. You’ll get a stacking Ursine Rage buff that will show you how many seconds you’ve kept your Rage above 50. When it reaches 60 stacks it will change to an Attuned buff. You can then open your character window and right-click the idol to acquire the rune.
Teldrassil (
Alliance Zone)
To obtain the Mangle rune, you will need to be at least level 10 and have learned the Bear Form ability. Learning Bear Form requires completing a short quest chain that starts with Heeding the Call, which you can pick up from Kal at Dolanaar in Teldrassil at level 10. The idol you need can be picked up earlier, but it requires level 10 to equip.
Head to Ban’ethil Barrow Den in Ban’ethil Hollow. It’s tucked in the hills south of the road in central Teldrassil. Enter the den and wind your way down to the bottom. You may want to pick up the quest Druid of the Claw as you pass through, since it requires killing the same mob.
At the bottom of the den you’ll find Rageclaw, a level 10 night elf who will change into a bear when aggroed. Kill him to loot an Idol of Ursine Rage.
