This guide will cover how to get the Quick Strike rune for Warriors in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Quick Strike Rune
This rune can be obtained in Darkshore, Loch Modan, Silverpine Forest, The Barrens, or Westfall.
Darkshore (
Alliance Zone)
This method is shared with the Hunter’s Sniper Training Rune.
To obtain the Quick Strike rune, head to Darkshore and look for a harpoon along the northern shore. You may find it stuck in a rock or the skeleton of a large creature. Click it to get a Gnarled Harpoon.
With the harpoon in your bag, swim out around 48, 15 to find a level 20 elite thresher, Paxnozz. Kill it to loot a Rune of Quick Strike. You can right-click this item to learn the rune.
Loch Modan ( Alliance Zone)
To obtain the Quick Strike rune, head to the southwestern caves of Loch Modan and kill Stonesplinter Bonesnapper, Stonesplinter Scout, and Stonesplinter Trogg until one drops a Skull-Shaped Geode.
When you have the item, find a Stonesplinter Skullthumper and fight it until you get hit by its stun. This will transform the item into a Cracked Skull-Shaped Geode, allowing you to right-click the item to open it and loot a Rune of Quick Strike, which you can use to learn the rune.
Silverpine Forest (
Horde Zone)
To obtain the Quick Strike rune, locate the corpse of Recke Grinnes on Fenris Isle in Silverpine Forest (66.2, 31.2). Loot him to get Rot Bane, which gives you the Rot Bane buff.
With the weapon equipped, kill nearby gnolls until one drops a Rune of Quick Strike, which you can use to learn the rune.
The Barrens ( Horde Zone)
This method is shared with the Hunter’s Sniper Training Rune.
To obtain the Quick Strike rune, go to Ratchet in the Barrens and head to the docks to find a Fisherman goblin named Kilxx (62.8, 38.2). Buy the Fishing Harpoon from him for 5

When you have the harpoon, swim out into the water and dive; look for the shark Bruuz circling a boat. Use the harpoon on him, then defeat him — Bruuz will drop the Rune of Quick Strike. Reportedly, you can also pull the shark to the docks and let the guards kill him for you.
Westfall ( Alliance Zone)
This method is partially shared with the Warlock’s Shadow Bolt Volley Rune.
To obtain the Quick Strike rune, head to Westfall and kill any of the following Defias until one drops a Gillsbane:
When you have the mace, take it to the coast and hit Murlocs with it until you get a Soul of the Sea.
Next, look for a statue called Idol of the Deep in the water off the coast at 26, 70. Use the Soul of the Sea there to spawn a Horror of the Deep, a level 20 non-elite that heals. Kill it to loot a Rune of Quick Strike, which you can right-click to learn the rune.

Alliance (Westfall) isn’t drain soul, makes no sense… you get a mace called Gillsbane as a zone drop in Westfall which has a unique descriptor that says “An enchanted weapon said to harvest the souls of slan Murlocs” – you kill a murloc and get a unique soulbound item that you bring to the medusa statue.
I’ve killed there for hours and haven’t seen Gillsbane yet 🙁
Its broken, killed troggs forever last night, no item dropped.. killed the Tresher in Darkshore 5 or 6 times, no item dropped.. wrote a ticket and got an autoanwser on how to delete a quest xD
