This guide will cover how to get the Greater Ghost Wolf rune for Shamans in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

Class: Shaman
Slot: Legs
Added: Phase 1 (changed in Phase 4)
Level: 25**

This discovery formerly taught the Shamanistic Rage ability, which was changed to a skill book in Phase 4.

How to Get the Greater Ghost Wolf Rune

Patrolling around the Charred Vale in southwest Stonetalon Mountains you will find a Primordial Anomaly, a level 25 elite elemental. It will shift between three different forms. If you handle each form correctly, defeating it should be a breeze. This area can be crowded with additional mobs, though, so you may want to bring a friend if you do not out-level the area.

Here’s how to handle each form:

Fire Form: This form is vulnerable to frost damage, so hit the elemental with Frost Shock. It will also cast Fireball.
Nature Form: This form is vulnerable to fire damage, so hit it with Flame Shock or another fire-based ability. It will also inflict Deadly Poison which you can remove with Cure Poison.
Water Form: This form is vulnerable to nature damage, so hit the creature with Earth Shock or Lightning Bolt. It will also cast Frost Shock on you.

Loot the Primordial Anomaly for a Rune of Primordial Fury, which you can right-click to learn the Greater Ghost Wolf rune.
