This guide will cover how to get the Sunfire rune for Druids in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Sunfire Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
This rune can be discovered in Mulgore or Teldrassil.
Mulgore (
Horde Zone)
To get the Sunfire rune, you will need to be at least level 4 and have the Moonfire ability trained.
Head to 36, 70 in southwest Mulgore, just north of where the road loops around into Red Cloud Mesa, and look for a wreath of flowers on the ground with three Lunar Stones nearby. The stones all have the Unpowered debuff.
Cast Moonfire on each of the stones and they will light up and gain the Powered buff. When all three are powered at the same time, they will disappear and a Lunar Chest will spawn inside the wreath. Loot the chest to get Rune of the Sun and right-click it in your bag to learn the rune.
Teldrassil (
Alliance Zone)
To get the Sunfire rune, you will need to be at least level 4 and have the Moonfire ability trained.
Head to 53, 78 in south-central Teldrassil and look for a wreath of flowers surrounded by three Lunar Stones in a tree. The stones all have the Unpowered debuff.
Cast Moonfire on each of the stones and they will light up and gain the Powered buff. When all three are powered at the same time, they will disappear and a Lunar Chest will spawn inside the wreath. Loot the chest to get Rune of the Sun and right-click it in your bag to learn the rune.

52.89 78.91 in teldrassil. Theres a tree you run onto and moonfire three Lunar Stone to spawn a chest and loot the rune from.
35, 70 ish in mulgore for the horde side. Bed of flowers on the hill and the lunar stones spawn a little bit further up the hill.
Mulgore 36.69, you have to moonfire THREE stones (just one cast).
