Shockwave Rune Guide - Season of Discovery (SoD)

This guide will cover how to get the Shockwave rune for Warriors in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Shockwave Rune

To get the rune you will have to go to Tanaris and head toward the coast at the (59, 91) coordinates. Once you reach the coast of Tanaris, you will find a damaged robot buried in the sand, interact with it, and accept the Half-Buried Mech quest. Quickly dislodge the robot to finish the quest line and receive a “Swim Speed Potion“.

Keep the “Swim Speed Potion” and swim towards the island that can be observed in the distance. You will see an oil rig platform that is situated near the island, ignore it, and continue heading toward the island. Eventually, you will enter a “Fatigue” area, you will have to cross it by either utilizing the Swim Speed Potion or the Water Treads sold by Duke Hydraxis in Azshara. Once you reach the island, head to the other side of it and go to the oil rig that can be observed nearby. You will find an NPC named Sebastian Jurgens. Pick up the follow-up quest and head toward Winterspring.

Once you reach Winterspring, head to Everlook and interact with Numi. She will give you the Red Bag Blues quest which will require you to head to the Burning Steppes to retrieve her lost red bag. The red bag can be found at the (52, 24) coordinates.

Finding the bag will allow you to complete the Red Bag Blues, rewarding you with a Red Bag with goodies. After completing the quest, you will need to head back to Numi in Everlook, Winterspring, which in turn will task you with heading back to the oil rig where you found Sebastian Jurgens.

Talking with Sebastian Jurgens will continue the quest line, teleporting you to either Westfall or Tirisfal Glades depending on whether you are Alliance or Horde. Once you’re teleported to either of the two, you will be able to interact with the old mate in the field.

At this point of the quest, you should gather a strong group of allies as you are about to fight a very powerful boss. Make sure you have at least 1 healer in your group! After gathering your allies, you can talk to the old mate, and click on the machine to spawn the boss.

The boss is named “Harvester Golem V000-A” and has multiple abilities while also dealing heavy Physical Damage. Make sure to interrupt its casts to weaken it and prevent a swift death. All you have to do now is loot the boss to receive the Shockwave rune!
