Firelands Embers Farming & Rewards in Season of Discovery (SoD)

Phase 4 of Season of Discovery comes with the Blackrock Eruption event, which in turn brings a similar currency to the Emerald Chips related to the Nightmare Incursions event from Phase 3! This time, the currency is called Firelands Embers, and they act as a valuable reagent for some extremely powerful items.

What Are Firelands Embers

With the introduction of the Blackrock Eruption event, the Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes became a hotspot for both PvE and PvP, bringing forth many familiar mobs and some new ones that players can encounter. Firelands Embers is the main currency that revolves around the event, being acquired from daily quests and mobs.

The Firelands Embers can be used to buy upgraded versions of Phase 3 craftable epic items that were available from the Thorium Brotherhood.

How to Acquire Firelands Embers

As mentioned previously, there are two main ways of acquiring Firelands Embers! The first way is by completing Daily Quests from the Blackrock Eruption event. This method grants a consistent amount of Firelands Embers, allowing you to farm them quite easily. The second way is to kill specific mobs in the Searing Gorge and Burning Steppes.

All of the quests can be picked up at the Thorium Point, in the Searing Gorge! There are a total of 8 daily quests that can be completed which reward Firelands Embers. At the beginning of the event, quests used to work on a rotation, but now all 8 Daily Quests that reward Firelands Embers can be completed daily. Both the mobs that drop Firelands Embers and the Daily Quests are only available during the Blackrock Eruption event!

There is a long list of items that can be acquired with Firelands Embers! Firelands Embers serve as currency for a long list of epic items that can be considered Pre-BiS. Some of the items that can be acquired with Firelands Embers serve as a precursory to the Class-specific epics available in Phase 4 of Season of Discovery. All of the items can be acquired from the Lokhtos Darkbargainer in Blackrock Depths.

However, all of the items sold by Lokhtos Darkbargainer act as upgrades for craftable items that could be acquired in Phase 3. You will need to first acquire the specific crafted item, alongside the Firelands Embers and either Fiery Core or Lava Core before you can purchase the respective upgrades.
