How to Get the Scarlet Insignia

As part of the New Avalon Introductory Quests, you’ll get a quest called Gathering Intelligence that sends you into Tyr’s Hand and New Avalon to scout out some of the buildings. Upon request, Inquisitor Jociphine at Scarlet Base Camp will give you the buff

Scarlet Illusion, which disguises you temporarily. You will only be able to get this buff while you are on this particular quest – you will need to assemble a uniform for any future infiltration.

Completing that quest unlocks the quest New Avalon, which provides you with the

Scarlet Insignia. This item must be used while you are wearing at least 4 pieces of Scarlet Crusade gear to provide you with a more foolproof disguise to explore the town.

Crafted Scarlet Uniform Equipment

There is one Scarlet Uniform set for each armor type – Cloth, Leather, Mail, and Plate – that can be crafted with Professions. Tailoring can be used to craft the Scarlet Augur Cloth set. Leatherworking can be used to craft the Scarlet Infiltrator Leather set or the Scarlet Huntsman Mail set. And Blacksmithing can be used to craft the Scarlet Soldier Plate set.

Each set includes 8 items in total. The recipes can be looted from mobs in New Avalon or inside the Scarlet Enclave raid. Crafting each item requires a basic high-level material such as

Thorium Bars. Most pieces also require one or two

Righteous Orbs and a few require a

Blood of Heroes. Both Righteous Orbs and Blood of Heroes can be obtained in New Avalon.

The items must also be crafted at an appropriate crafting station inside New Avalon.

Tailoring

Tailors will need to be near the Crusader’s Loom crafting station in New Avalon to craft these patterns. The loom is inside the building where you find Taylor Stitchings, the Tailoring Supplies vendor.
