This guide will cover how to get the Soul Warding rune for Priests in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Soul Warding Rune

As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.

Original Discovery Method

For the Soul Warding rune, you’ll be collecting echoes like you did for the Pain Suppression Rune.

Head to the Stratholme (Living) dungeon and kill Postmaster Malown to loot his three mailbox keys. Do not kill any other bosses yet. Find each of the mailboxes and loot them for a Stratholme Shadow Jar.

You’ll find three pedestals near Cannon Master Willey on the far west side of the dungeon. They will give you riddles to solve which provide hints about the echoes you’ll need. Here are the riddles and the bosses they’ll point you to:

Riddle
Boss
Echo
Dungeon Wing
Holy furor purges sin and yet a shadow lurks within.
A champion of wicked malice, hulking horrors guard his palace.
A specter cursed to guard a tower. No solace gained from Wealth or power.
The smell of brimstone fills the room. This zealot greets you with a boom.
The people looked to him to lead in their hour of greatest need.
Among the dead this mortal dwells with acolytes and icy spells.
The ancient kingdom rediscovered. Trades one master for another.
Built from flesh, a sin of science hunted by Forsaken’s finest.

Kill the bosses that are indicated in your riddles and use the Stratholme Shadow Jars you collected from the mailboxes to loot their echoes. Remember that you only have 3 jars, so you want to be sure you’re looting the correct 3 echoes.

Once you’ve collected all 3, you’ll need to use each of the echoes on the matching pedestal (the one with the associated riddle) in the table above. If done correctly, the rune will appear in the middle of the room and you can loot it along with 2 Tarnished Undermine Reals, which your whole party will get.

This guide is wrong dont use it.
There is 8 bosses and you need to kill 3 out of em, the one you need to kill are according to random pillars.
so first check what pillars you have then you will know what bosses to kill for the echo.
or better follow the guide on wowhead as it is correct.
