Staff of Order/Staff of Inferno/Staff of Rime is a three-in-one staff that is available for Mages in Phase 5 of Season of Discovery. This guide will walk you through how to get your hands on this epic class weapon, which offers powerful stats and effects for all three Mage specializations: Arcane, Fire, and Frost.

How to Get the Staff of Order/Staff of Inferno/Staff of Rime

To get your Staff of Order/Staff of Inferno/Staff of Rime, you’ll need to start by looting a Scroll: SEENECS FO RIEF from Vaelastrasz the Corrupt in the Blackwing Lair raid. Decipher this scroll using a Comprehension Charm and you will get a Scroll: Essence of Fire, which starts the quest Essence of Fire, the first quest in the chain.

Head to the western edge of Burning Steppes and look for the Magical Stone near Draco’dar (14.8, 56.6). Kill the fire totem using Frost spells. Then you’ll kill a fire elemental called Primordial Flame to loot a Depleted Essence of Fire. Combine this with the scroll to get Imbued Essence of Fire.

Bring this item to your Mage Trainer in Stormwind City or Orgrimmar to pick up the next quest, The Librarian’s Apprentice, which sends you to Valxx Cracklequil at Everlook in Winterspring (60.6, 38.0). She gives you the quest Essence of Frost.

This quest points you to Frostwhisper Gorge in south Winterspring where you’ll find another Magical Stone (63.4, 68.6). This time you’ll need to kill the frost totem with Fire spells. Then you’ll kill a frost elemental called Outcast Cryomancer to loot a Depleted Essence of Frost.

Head south to Frostwhisper Gorge and kill the Elite Frostmaul Giants until you loot a Scroll: SEENECS FO ROFTS. Decipher this scroll using a Comprehension Charm and to get a Scroll: Essence of Frost, and combine it with the essence you just obtained to make Imbued Essence of Frost. Take this item back to Valxx Cracklequil at Everlook to pick up the quest A Foul Interference.

This quest points to Mathorzil in Winterspring (56.6, 50.6), where you’ll find a Manathirst Imp. Kill it to loot a Scroll: SERELS PATALIS GNEMIND. Decipher this scroll using a Comprehension Charm and to get a Scroll of Lesser Spatial Mending. Use the scroll to close a fel portal, which will summon some Fel Interlopers that you must kill. Then use the teleport pad in the cave to find Haleh, who will give you the Incomplete Staff of Order, the final item that is needed to make the staff.
