This guide will cover how to get the Sudden Death rune for Warriors in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.
- Rune: Sudden Death

- Class: Warrior
- Slot: Back
- Added: Phase 4
- Level: 55 (Required)
How to Get the Sudden Death Rune
You will need to be at least level 55 to complete this discovery. You won’t be able to start it until then.
To acquire the Sudden Death rune, you will have to go to Silithus and find the Wandering Swordsman again. He can be found in multiple locations patrolling the zone. A direct spawn point has been confirmed at (34.0, 68.0), if you are willing to wait, or you can check for him around (32.1, 24.4) or (48.0, 61.1) coordinates.
Interacting with the Wandering Swordsman will teleport you to a special platform where you will have to defeat Khonsu, a level 60 Rare Elite, and a set of adds. You can choose from three difficulties (Easy, Medium, or Hard), but any of the three will reward the rune, so it’s up to you whether you want to challenge yourself or not. The encounter with Khonsu is difficult, including multiple mechanics which must be avoided:
- When Khonsu performs Crescent Smash, you will have to avoid the red area on the platform — just jump to the other side of it
- When Khonsu performs Thunder Clap, you will have to run to the black corner of the platform and face his way (otherwise you will be knocked back)
- Kill adds and use Victory Rush to heal yourself
Defeat Khonsu and you will get the quest Infinite Midnight, which you can hand in to Khonsu to receive your Timeless Wanderer’s Insights and learn the rune.
