This guide will cover how to get the Surge of Light Rune for Priests in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.
This rune requires killing one of the three ghosts present in Swamp of Sorrows, Stranglethorn Vale, and Tanaris. The ghost is called Echo of a Lost Soul, and it will have the buff Protected by Shadows, making it immune to most damage types. These ghosts only spawn between 9 PM and 6 AM server time.
Currently known locations:
Tanaris, at (52, 29), at the Gadgetzan Graveyard.
Swamp of Sorrows, at (50, 60), near the Stonard Graveyard.
Stranglethorn Vale, near Ruins of Aboraz, at (30, 73).
The Hinterlands, at the graveyard near the coast (73, 68).

The ghost is level 1, has very little health, and will not be hostile even when attacked. To release it, you’ll need to attack it with either Arcane or Holy damage. Arcane damage seems to be more effective, while you may need to cast several Holy spells to do the job. Holy Fire, Penance, and Smite all work, as do the night elf Starshards and a wand that does Arcane damage. You could also have a Druid or a Mage hit it with one of their Arcane spells.
When you’ve released the ghost, loot it to receive your Prophecy of the Lost Tribe. You’ll need to have two different Priest Meditations active in order to use the item and learn the rune.

found it and killed it at 50,60 with 3 holy light and one penance
can not spot it at tanaris graveyard either
heard its only available at night
