This guide will cover how to get the Sword Specialization rune, one of the new class-agnostic utility runes added in Phase 4 of Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

How to Get the Sword Specialization Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
The red book can be found underneath Karazhan in the Master’s Cellar. Located near the entrance to Karazhan but is a cellar in an abandoned house — there are two cellars, but you should enter the one closest to Karazhan.
Go down to the third level, in the south part near coordinates 43, 74.5, and you’ll see a red book named Advanced Swordplay.
