Truthbearer – Epic Weapon for Paladins in Season of Discovery (SoD)

Truthbearer/Truthbearer is a two-in-one sword that is available for Paladins in Phase 5 of Season of Discovery. This guide will walk you through how to get your hands on this epic class weapon, which offers powerful stats and effects for all three Paladin specializations: Retribution, Protection, and Holy.

How to Get Truthbearer

To start the quest to get Truthbearer/Truthbearer, you will first need to loot a Blood of the Lightbringer from Broodlord Lashlayer, the third boss in the Blackwing Lair raid. This item starts the first quest in the chain, The Blood of the Lightbringer.

Take the blood to Aeonas at Uther’s Tomb in the Western Plaguelands to get the next quest, The Ruins of Andorhal. Head to Andorhal and interact with a Damaged Silver Hand Breastplate to get a cutscene. Then return to Uther’s Tomb to pick up the next quest, “Just What Was Needed.”

Head to Gregory at Caer Darrow, the island where Scholomance is located in Western Plaguelands (53.3, 83.6). He’ll give you the quest Darkwhisper Gorge.

You may want to bring along some help for this part. Meet Gregory again at Darkwhisper Gorge in Winterspring to start the next quest, Culmination. You’ll be fighting waves of demons for this quest. Diathorus the Seeker and Azgaloth, two of the bosses from the Demon Fall Canyon dungeon, will show up and talk at you a bit. Then you’ll get Worst Case Scenario.

This quest sends you back to Andorhal in Western Plaguelands to speak with Chromie. She’ll give you the quest Making Ready, and then A Paladin of the Silver Hand. Head back to Aeonas at Uther’s Tomb and get the quest Who Says You Can Never Go Back?, then go back to Gregory at Caer Darrow.

Enter the portal to the Burning of Andorhal solo instance. You’ll get the quest The Burning of Andorhal, requiring you to complete the solo instance. When you do, you’ll get Back to the Future from Aeonas. He directs you back through the portal to speak with Gregory one last time.

You’ll pick up The Cost of Victory from him, which points you to the Demon Fall Canyon dungeon to defeat Azgaloth. Once you’ve done so, return to Gregory to complete the quest Truthbearer and receive your sword.
