This guide will cover how to get the Void Plague rune for Priests in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.

• Slot: Feet (changed from Chest in Phase 4)
• Added: Phase 1
• Level: 8 (Recommended)

How to Get the Void Plague Rune

As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.

Original Discovery Method

This rune can be discovered in any of the Priest starting zones: Dun Morogh, Durotar, Elwynn Forest, Teldrassil, or Tirisfal Glades.

Dun Morogh ( Alliance Zone)

To get the Void Plague rune, head to the area outside Gnomergan near Brewnall Village in Dun Morogh and kill Leper Gnomes until one drops a Memory of a Dark Purpose. This item can also be looted from a cache near Gibblewilt.

Durotar ( Horde Zone)

To get the Void Plague rune, head to Tiragarde Keep in eastern Durotar and kill Kul Tiras Marine and Kul Tiras Sailor. One of them will drop a Memory of a Dark Purpose.

Elwynn Forest ( Alliance Zone)

To get the Void Plague rune, head into Fargodeep Mine just south of Goldshire and kill Goldtooth. He will drop a Memory of a Dark Purpose.

Teldrassil ( Alliance Zone)

To get the Void Plague rune, head all the way to the bottom of Ban’ethil Barrow Den in Teldrassil, directly west of Dolanaar (the entrance is at 46.5, 51.8). You’ll find a Gnarlpine Cache. Loot it for a Memory of a Dark Purpose.

Tirisfal Glades ( Horde Zone)

To get the Void Plague rune, head to the Solliden Farmstead in western Tirisfal Glades and follow the path west of the tower to a small lake in the mountains, around 27, 47. There you’ll find Gillgar, a level 7 elite murloc.
