Weapon Skill Trainers and Locations

One unique feature of Classic WoW that doesn’t appear in later versions of the game is weapon skills. Every type of weapon in the game has its own associated skill to be learned and leveled. The weapon skills you can learn are based on your class, with some being known by default when you create your character and others needing to be learned from a Weapon Master.

This guide will cover locations for all of the Weapon Masters in the game along with which weapon skills they teach. But first, a few notes about specific weapon skills:

• All weapon skills can be learned at level 1 for a cost of 10 silver except for Polearms. Polearms require level 20 and can be learned for 1 gold.
• Wands are a default weapon skill for Mages, Priests, and Warlocks. They are not taught by any Weapon Masters and can’t be learned by any other classes.
• The Defense and Unarmed skills also appear under Weapon Skills in the character window. All characters have these skills by default and they do not have their own trainers.

Alliance Weapon Masters

There are four Weapon Masters for Alliance characters, with two of them residing in Ironforge. We’ll cover their locations below.

Here is a quick overview of which skills can be learned in each Alliance city.

Darnassus Weapon Master

Ilyenia Moonfire is on the lower tier of the Warrior’s Terrace in Darnassus (57.6, 46.7). She teaches the following weapon skills:

• Bows
• Daggers
• Fist Weapons
• Staves
• Thrown

Ironforge Weapon Masters

Buliwyf Stonehand and Bixi Wobblebonk are both on the upper floor of Timberline Arms in the Military Ward of Ironforge (62.2, 89.6).

Stormwind Weapon Master

Woo Ping is inside Weller’s Arsenal in the Trade District of Stormwind (57.1, 57.7). He teaches the following weapon skills:

• Crossbows
• Daggers
• One-Handed Swords
• Polearms (requires level 20)
• Staves
• Two-Handed Swords

Horde Weapon Masters

Sayoc and Hanashi are inside the Arms of Legend building at the back of the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar (81.5, 19.6).

Ansekhwa is at the Thunder Bluff Weapons tent on the Lower Rise of Thunder Bluff (40.9, 62.7). He teaches the following weapon skills:
