This guide will cover how to get the Chronostatic Preservation rune for Mages in Season of Discovery. We’ll go over all of the locations and requirements in the walkthrough below as well as any useful tips and tricks.
To get the Chronostatic Preservation rune, you must kill three specific mobs in the Thousand Needles zone and loot Partial Spell Notes from each. They must be killed with frost spells. Here are the mobs:
Seared Needles Cougar at the centaur camp in the northwest of the zone (25, 24)
You’ll need to kill Galak Mauler to get a Cougar Cage Key first – he is near the cage.
Scorched Screeching Roguefeather at The Screeching Canyon around the south-center of the map (27, 47)
Singed Highperch Consort at Highperch in the west (11, 39)
It’s been reported that the Cougar Cage Key doesn’t drop if you already have the other Partial Spell Notes, so you should get the Seared Needles Cougar first.
When you have all three Partial Spell Notes, you can combine them into Spell Notes: Chronostatic Preservation, which you can right-click to learn the rune.

you do not have to get a key, the seared mob is nearby, just look for the flaming cougar

U should start with the Cougar, if u didn’t – delete the other two and try again.
