How to Get the Cut to the Chase Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
The Cut to the Chase rune can be obtained through the Emerald Wardens faction. As of Phase 4, you no longer need to earn any reputation before you can purchase it. Rune of Alacrity can be bought from the following quartermasters for 1 gold and 60 silver:
- Quartermaster Falinar is located at the entrance to the Twilight Grove in Duskwood (45.6, 51.2)
- Quartermaster Kyleen is located at the entrance to Bough Shadow in Ashenvale (89.6, 40.6)
- Quartermaster Alandra is located at the entrance to Seradane in The Hinterlands (61.4, 34.6)
- Quartermaster Valdane is located at the entrance to the Dream Bough in Feralas (48.6, 12.6)
These quartermasters also sell the following runes for other classes:
- Gore for Druids
- T.N.T. for Hunters
- Molten Armor for Mages
- Improved Hammer of Wrath for Paladins
- Void Zone for Priests
- Cut to the Chase for Rogues
- Burn for Shamans
- Unstable Affliction for Warlocks
- Shield Mastery for Warriors
